Eagle Bowmen

Eagle Bowmen Target - Clout - Longbow - Recurve - Compound - Competition - Fun Eagle Bowmen is a local archery club in Penrith, Cumbria.

We have members of all ages and practice target archery and clout, with recurve, longbow and compound. There are plenty of opportunities to enter competitions or just shoot on club nights - the choice is yours. Club nights are Monday, Wednesday or Thursday through the summer at Hunter Hall field. In the winter its Monday or Thursday at Eamont Bridge village hall. If anyone is interested check out

🏹 Have you been shooting less than 12 months, but are interested in trying out a competition?? Then read on!! 👀

We are holding our first ever novice shoot on Sunday 31st May at Hunter Hall School, Penrith. It is open to all archers who have been shooting less than 12 months, and have never shot a competition.

The shoot will be run under competition conditions with everything explained to you, and experienced on archers on hand to answer any questions.

*WE NEED YOUR HELP*

Archer we would be so very grateful if you are able to help us set up the Eagle Bowmen trilogy shoot

We will be meeting at the container at Hunter Hall at 2.30 on Saturday 3rd January to load the equipment onto the van, and we also need help setting up the targets at Penrith leisure centre from 4.00

As you may may know this is the first year Ian is setting up the event, so your help is very much needed particularly as we only have 1 hour to set everything up in the sports hall

If you’re coming to the Eagle Bowmen Christmas Dinner, and haven’t let me know your meal choices - you need to do it this week.

As a reminder, the Eagle Bowmen Christmas Dinner is booked for Friday 12th December, at the Heather Glen Country House Hotel, Ainstable.

The dinner is booked for 7:30pm, so we’d ask people to arrive around 7pm - to give everyone a chance to get drinks and move into the function room.

Club members can bring a guest with them to the dinner.

Heather Glen gives you the option of a two or three course menu. Two courses costs £33.00 and three courses costs £38.50 - if you are a member of the club, your meal is subsidised by £10 (ie: two courses - £23.00 and three courses £28.50).

‼️ Club Night - Start Time‼️

We are having to change the start time of our club nights, due to overlap in the Village Hall.

Monday’s are already running from 7pm to 9pm, but now both Wednesday and Thursday will also run from 7pm to 9pm.

This change will take place from Monday 3rd November.

This time change will just be for Indoors - Outdoor sessions will still run from 6:30pm to 8:30pm - so that we can make the most of the daylight.

Apologies for the short notice, and we do hope that this doesn’t cause too many issues for you.

Our AGM will be held Wednesday 29th January 6:30pm at Eamont Bridge Village Hall - if you're able to attend, please do so.

Hopefully, there should still be time for shooting afterwards!!
