What a tough day on Helvellyn & the Edges! ⛰️💨

We had a great group out with us today and, although we managed to stay dry, the wind was absolutely full on! It made for some really challenging conditions on the mountain, but this hardy bunch pushed on, bagging four peaks and taking on one of the edges along the way. 💪

Thankfully the sun was out too, giving us some cracking views on the return journey and a pretty spectacular end to a big day.

Massive well done to everyone today — that really wasn’t easy and you should all be incredibly proud of yourselves! 👏⛰️

NEW FOR 2027 – THE BUTTERMERE SKYLINE

Our Walk of the Year 2027 is here!

Next year we’re heading to one of the most spectacular parts of the Lake District for a brilliant mountain journey high above Buttermere.

The Buttermere Skyline takes in four iconic Wainwrights – Red Pike, High Stile, High Crag and Haystacks – with incredible views over Buttermere, Crummock Water and Ennerdale, and across towards Pillar and the Gables.

🏔️ 4 Wainwrights
🕐 6–8 hours

And what a way to finish – Haystacks, famously Alfred Wainwright’s favourite fell and the place he chose for his ashes to be scattered.

A big day on the Coledale 10 Peaks Challenge on Saturday! ⛰️

34 walkers took on this brilliant 12-mile route through the North-Western Fells, ticking off 10 Wainwrights and a massive 1,600m of ascent along the way.

It’s a seriously tough challenge with climb after climb, so completing the full route is a huge achievement. Massive well done to everyone who joined us and put in such a brilliant effort throughout the day 👏

Yesterday we were out on the High Street 7 ⛰️

Two groups headed into one of the most beautiful and quieter areas of the Far Eastern Fells, taking on seven summits along this fantastic route.

Thankfully it was much cooler than it has been recently! We had plenty of cloud through the morning before it finally lifted and rewarded everyone with some stunning views across the Lakes.

A brilliant day out and a massive well done to everyone who joined us 👏

There’s a drought in England… Sunday’s Four Passes Challenge said, “hold my beer!” 🌧️😂

Yesterday was a wet one! It’s been a while since we’ve had a proper soaking, but that didn’t stop two teams taking on this huge 16-mile challenge with around 1,600m of ascent.

The Four Passes is an incredible journey through the Lake District, visiting Sty Head, Wasdale, Ennerdale, Buttermere and Honister along the way. And thankfully, we did get a few hours of sunshine to lift the spirits and give us some gorgeous views! ⛰️

A massive effort from everyone on a tough day and a big route. Huge well done to you all! 👏

What a day on the Ambleside 22 Challenge! ⛰️☀️

We were joined by 27 walkers today to take on this epic new challenge. It’s a huge day out and every bit as beautiful as it is demanding!

The route packs so much into 22 miles, with highlights including Rydal, Grasmere, Tarn Hows, Langdale, Cathedral Quarry, giant slices of cake, big climbs and so much more. It really is an incredible journey through the heart of the Lake District.

Massive well done to everyone who took on the challenge today. It’s a seriously big walk, so huge kudos to you all for completing it! 👏💪

Yesterday was a brilliant day on the Fairfield Horseshoe ⛰️

A classic and iconic Lake District route, taking in 8 summits with fantastic views throughout the day.

We were back out on Scafell Pike today, with two groups taking on England’s highest mountain via the spectacular Corridor Route ⛰️☀️

It was a really tough day on the fells, but everyone put in a brilliant effort and was rewarded with some outstanding views as the cloud cleared during the afternoon. Moments like that make all the hard work worthwhile! 🙌

Massive well done to everyone who took on this iconic mountain and completed such a big route. A fantastic achievement all round 👏

Yesterday was a fantastic day on our Blencathra & Bannerdale walk ⛰️☀️

A brilliant four-summit adventure, with Blencathra as the jewel in the crown. This route is a fantastic introduction to multi-summit fell walking, taking in stunning scenery, varied terrain and some of the very best views the Lake District has to offer.

A huge well done to everyone who joined us and made it such an enjoyable day on the hills. 👏
