Erik
12.3hh 7 year old Registered Eriskay pony

Erik is currently used for lessons and children’s lead rein rides. He is quiet to handle, fab with kids and loves a fuss. He’s the perfect fun first ridden or lead rein pony.

We feel he would excel in a family home where he will be made a fuss off and leave his jockey with a huge grin on their face.

Erik happily walks, trot, canters in the school and pops a fence. He hacks out alone or in company and enjoys his job.

for the last 3 years he’s lived in a mix herd of mares and geldings, living in or out weather dependant. Erik would happily live out being a native type, he is a good doer and easy to keep.

Eriskays are know for their hardy breed, easy going temperament and an attitude to turn their hoof to any job. They are a protected breed and there is sadly only a small population (approximately 300!) left of them.

Erik is up to date with teeth, vacs, travels well and good with the farrier.

He will only go to the best of homes, where we know he will be loved. We will very much miss his cheeky character.

******Rookin House has got three exciting 6 weekly Tuesday riding sessions on offer ********* starting week commencing 12th November weekly till 17th December, with optional Xmas fancy dress on the17th.
*****One session per week, £210.00 for all 6 sessions of 1 hr*****
If interested please PM me and advise on any times after 4pm (so lesson can be between 4pm and 7.30pm) you can't do by Saturday 2nd November as I am putting groups together this week.

Musical Ride - Learn to ride in harmony with your horse and other team members. A great way to put your skills into practise to music and lots of laughs guaranteed along the way. The final session will be ridden to an audience of your family and friends.

Show Jumping Training Course - learning the importance of accuracy of jumping lines, rhythm, balance and impulsion with a Show Jumping Competion on the last lesson.

Pole work - Learning the importance of maintaing a good Rythm and the imprtance or riding Straight. Poles used in the right way will help you and your horse, wether your aim is to showjump or become a dresage Diva.
