Well that was a pretty alright day! Helvellyn at sunrise. The 12.45am alarm was worth it in the end - as was the company - Brian, Eithne and Sue. Now for bed!

What an incredible afternoon! A private session with Sue and a meet up with my great pals Peggy and Rob. Rob offered to take some drone footage which was an added bonus for Sue and I - who incidentally was up on her feet in no time and had opportunity to practice self-rescue skills. Just 👌

Beautiful evening for a paddle. Some very pesky wake off the Irish ferry! Great to see ShakaSup and some of the Mersey Sup Club members out too.

A busy day yesterday with a guided walk and private SUP session.

First up were a lovely group of ladies who joined me on a hillwalking taster - just over 7 miles in total, Moel Findeg our highest point. Lots of chat about technique, poles, feet and everything else! Thank you for your lovely company and the post-walk beverage in the We Three Loggerheads.

Later in the afternoon, I was joined by Sheryl and hubby John, a belated birthday pressie for him. Both were new to SUP and I think it’s fair to say John will soon be on the water again - a natural!

It’s a gorgeous day at Eccleston but just too windy for an enjoyable paddleboarding experience! Knowing when not to paddle is more important than knowing how to paddle! Apologies to the clients that have sessions cancelled today.

A lovely evening spent with Joanne who booked a private session a few weeks ago. Joanne had paddled a few times before but wanted to focus on technique. We managed to get to the blue bridge from Eccleston - approx 7km in total. Great effort!
