One of our members brought his dad up for the day and the visit paid off with the beaut pictured. Caught on a pink zonker home tied.

The week in summary. In no particular order. ๐ŸŸ๐ŸŸ๐ŸŸ๐ŸŸ๐ŸŸ๐ŸŸ๐ŸŸ๐ŸŸ๐ŸŸ๐ŸŸ๐ŸŸ๐ŸŸ๐ŸŸ๐ŸŸ๐ŸŸ๐ŸŸ๐ŸŸ

Our youth anglers day was a success today with a few of the young ๐ŸŽฃ anglers managing to land some fish after receiving some aid from the guides, coaches and experienced fishermen.

Despite the less than perfect conditions, Leo and Finlay managed to land trout successfully. Murray managed to hook into and drop a few fish in front of the cabin. Leo featured holding his catch at the dam wall and Murray whilst playing and unfortunately dropping his.

A good number of the lads showed great potential and we hope they continue with the sport. Some familiar faces returning with there own kit in the hope to improve there skill also.

We would love to take this further with a youth club or something along those lines. We just need to work out the details and get it up and running.

Anglers catching in high numbers throughout the week into the weekend. Highest noted catches

26 fish to the boat on Tuesday
80-90 fish from a club outing on Thursday
18 to the boat on Friday.
22 to the boat on Saturday.
30 to the boat today.

A lot of mention of lures with the usuals being named. Yellow dancers, damsels, cut throats, cats whiskers and zonkers.
Other flies noted, Hoppers, buzzers, fabs and blobs. Dry flies mentioned also but just not as consistent yet.

We still have boats available for Sat 9th May should you wish to book on. Give us a shout.

The Lea continues to produce.๐Ÿฆˆ

Fishing is up 1000% on the scale.

Fish being caught in various areas and depths.

Members continuing there streak of good fortune landing outstanding numbers in a session.

Steven noting,
โ€œBrilliant session on the Float tube today. 7 fish to the net and dropped 4. Lost a belter of a fish up the shallow end estimated around 6 pound and was playing the fish for around 15 minutesโ€

Christian giving his update,

โ€œI had 14 from a boat today including this belter of a rainbow. Must have been around 6lbs.

I caught on black, pink, and white snakes again. Just keeps working at the moment.
There was another boat that caught double figures on muddlers and yellow dancers from what I knowโ€

Craig managed a couple on floating fry as he took advantage of the evening rise in the shallow end. Fish were popping everywhere feeding on small midge and other fly life.

Brown Beetles and mayfly found hatching on the water in abundance.

Whatโ€™s not to love.

Update on the water. ๐ŸŸ๐ŸŽฃ

Fish galoreโ€ฆlast weekend we had our first larger club outing of the year.
Bonnybridge AC returned to Loganlea to take on our water, battle the elements and ultimately have a successful day. 31 fish caught with most of that returned. Organiser Norrie McNeil making comment
โ€œHi Craig, catches of 9, 7, 5, 5, 3, 1, 1, most catches to pink Duck, along with mini black snake picking up a few, with the wind being a factor most anglers went to the bank and managed to pick up a few more fish, up the top rd side of dam holding alot of fish, thanks again always a great day and service from you guysโ€

What we like to hear. ๐Ÿ˜

๐ŸŽŸ๏ธMembers of the fishery also having great success on a multitude of methods and flies.

Scott noting, had 6 fish to the orange or pink blob ๐ŸŠ
James said, Great few hours out today caught 10 and lost 9 all caught on yellow and pink cats whisker ๐Ÿฑ( with yellow eyes) all caught on area down from benches and side of boats. Was tricky at the end with the wind not making its mind up and was swirling around.

Christian noting,
The bite is on tonight. Couple of blues and 11 fish to the boat in total this afternoon.
Pink and black blobs and eggs and Ally Macoist doing the trick. ๐Ÿฅš

A few of the flies noted in pictures below.

Scott taking eye safety advise too seriously as he gears up to go somewhere else hopefully. ๐Ÿ˜‰

We are open 8-430pm everyday with boat and bank availibility.

Give us a call or message to book a slot.

๐Ÿ˜An inspiring day on the Lea today.

The youth showing the oldies how itโ€™s done with our very own violet landing 2 beauts on lures early this morning and her first yesterday.

A few of our season ticket holders sons and grandsons landing there first trout and instantly getting the bug. Simon and Rabโ€™s ears will be red raw. Sonny featured with his trout below. One happy lad. Ollie landing his first hard fighting rainbow. Claims it was nearly bigger than the boat ๐Ÿ˜‰

We love to see it. Quite literally the future of our sport.

Stewart one of our returning members landing a generous 21 stunning trout to the boat using a multitude of different flies using a floating line including,
๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿฝyellow dancers,
๐Ÿฆ…cormorants
โฐdiawl Bachs
๐Ÿซ’damsels

Stewart using his years of fishing knowledge and pointers from Kenny to have an outstanding day.

Conditions looking great for Friday again. Less favourable tomorrow but that may change. For up to date conditions give us a shout on the mobile 8-4pm.

Another amazing day.
