Falls Prevention Community Drop-In is coming to Penicuik!

Following two hugely successful events in Lasswade, Midlothian Health and Social Care Partnership's free Falls Prevention Community Drop-In is heading to Ladywood Leisure Centre, Penicuik.

🕙 10am to 2pm
📍 Ladywood Leisure Centre, 14A Yarrow Court, Penicuik, EH26 8HD

More than 20 local health and care professionals will be on hand, with no appointment needed. Speak to physiotherapists, dietitians, pharmacists, occupational therapists, optometrists, the Ageing Well team and many more.

✔ Green health activities
✔ Home adaptations
✔ And much more

The previous events welcomed over 200 people each, with attendees asking for the drop-in to come to Penicuik. We're delighted to be bringing it to Ladywood. Enjoy homemade cake, coffees teas and, of course, Ageing Well's popular fitness tests!

Organiser Linda Linton is pictured fourth from the right with members of the Ageing Well’s hugely popular Best Step Forward class at St Mungo’s Church Hall in Penicuik. We’re hoping many of the 50 plus attendees will also make it to our falls prevention drop-in.

Good evening!
There’s been lots of talk about the replacement of our all weather pitch, but you may not know what the income we receive from it helps support.
Our centre is busy almost daily ( we may have slots for meetings and occasional groups)
Our aim is to facilitate groups and lead activities that promote being active, being socially inclusive and ultimately making a difference 💕
Below , please find our centre timetable and details of some of the groups who use our centre .. if your group
is not included, please send us a poster for marketing purposes.
We have up and coming fundraising events that we shall post next week.
If you require tables and chairs for your own events we can hire you them. If you wish to be part of our 50/50 monthly fundraiser, please enquire at the centre.
We shall also be promoting a sponsorship opportunity soon.
We are so lucky and grateful to have the groups who choose to use our centre ❤️
We make no money, everything gets invested back into the centre.
We pay our bills to enable the centre to be affordable for all.
We want this to continue

A massive thank you!
The town crier meeting was a great opportunity for all to share their thoughts!

Good Morning

We are all back relaxed after our Summer break and look forward to seeing you 😊

A couple of things….
The All-weather pitch ( Astro) is open
However.. users will need to fill in
indemnity forms until we can raise the funds for replacement ✍🏼

If you have any of our spaces booked and are not planning on using them over the summer can you please let us know?
