On Sunday 20th September we are holding our Junior Championship finals, where our 18 and 9 hole finalists take to the course to find out who our 2026 champions are.

We also play a Texas Scramble format on the same day, and award a Team Championship trophy.

The Texas Scramble is open up to golfers of all abilities, whether you have a handicap, or not. If you usually play in the 18, 9 or fun flag formats. Or if you've never played in any of the competitions to date....every junior member is welcome.

Tee times are available from 1pm on the 20th.

Yesterday at Glencorse we did something a bit different. We hosted a hickory competition, and it was played on the original course layout.

Thanks so much to everyone who participated. Massive appreciation for our Greenkeeping team who set it up and have loved every minute of getting to know the layout, its quirks and its challenges.

Thanks to BGCS for coming and playing and for Jack White Gullane for the hire of the clubs. A huge thanks to Cornet Catering at Glencorse GC for brilliant hospitality throughout the day and for Andy McKay Golf Photography for participating and capturing some fantastic photos.

Our pro, Cliffe Jones donated the winners trophy 🏆 which was awarded to Jim Laing for the best score of the day - think he’s found his clubs!!

Members and their guests have the opportunity to play the layout on Saturday. It’s a great experience…especially the 15th 😳

On the 7th September, we’re doing something a bit different at Glencorse. 29 golfers will be taking to Glencorse to play the original course, with Hickory clubs.

We’ll be welcoming some hickory players, some Glencorse members and some members of our team.

Andy McKay Golf Photography will also be joining us, taking his family hickory clubs out on the course. We managed to discover this piece of footage from the viaduct at Glencorse.

Well done to Ben with an amazing Ace in the Stephen Gallacher Foundation event yesterday at Pumpherston Golf Club 🎉👏🏻🏌️‍♂️⛳️

We were very proud to welcome so many young golfers again for the Stephen Gallacher Foundation event at Pumpherston GC yesterday. This is a great junior golf opportunity that we welcome to the club each year as part of the foundation's series of strokeplay and Chase the Flag events.

A wet day but the rain held off for the most part while the players made their way round the course.

The day got even better for our visiting player Ben Middleton from Glencorse Golf Club with an ace on the 4th hole 'Lookabootye' (par 3). Congratulations Ben! That's going to be a day to remember forever.

We look forward to continuing our relationship with the Stephen Gallacher Foundation and First Tee for years to come.
