🏉 Old Pens U8s – First Match of the Season! 💙💛

A brilliant start to the new season for our Old Pens Under 8s, travelling away to Barry RFC for their first fixtures of the year.

The boys played two great matches, showing fantastic teamwork, determination and plenty of smiles from the first whistle to the last. There were some superb tries shared across the team, and an outstanding defensive line that everyone worked hard to maintain.

A great performance all round and an excellent way to kick off the season.

Well done, lads – plenty more to come! 💙💛

💛 A new chapter at Old Pens, and a chance to say a very big thank you.

Following our recent AGM, we have welcomed a new Management Committee and updated Board for the 2026/27 season.

But before looking forward, it is important that we recognise some of the people who have given so much to our club.

In particular, we pay tribute to Nigel Williams and David ‘Jammy’ James, who between them have given decades of extraordinary service to Old Penarthians.

Nigel has spent an incredible 58 years on the committee, while Jammy has served for 28 years, alongside his contribution to the Sevens, Finance and Social Committees.

We also send our sincere thanks to Steve Clarke, Neil Warren, Alun Haines, Clare Reeve, James Williams, Terry Keegan, Peter Morrish and Helen Cross, who have stepped down from roles.

Old Pens is what it is because people have been willing to give their time, energy and care to the club. We are enormously grateful to every one of them. 🙏🏻
