We had max Burroughs and Sonny munn in welsh finals yesterday,max was up first fighting against Kian jones wrexam abc a very good action packed fight with max’s jab doing most of the work,though kian was a very strong wilful opponent after three very aggressive rds I thought the better boxing came from max ,and so did most of the crowd,but it was a very good fight and nobody could really grumble at the end of it because it was a case of two 11yr old lads giving it all thay had,and iam very proud of max as he had only 3 fights coming into these championships so it was mainly for experience but max went all the way and proved me right well done mate we are all proud of you.
Next up was Sonny munn chomping at the bit,the main thing I have to do with Sonny is keep him calm,and to stick to his aggressive boxing he was fighting Josh sqiures Gwent abc sqiures was a very strong lad with a buzzer saw type style coming in and out throwing lots of punches ,so sonny had his work cut out,Sonny was told that he had to work behind a strong jab and then come through with a strong backhand,and he couldn’t afford to miss because jones wld be on him like a buzz saw,Sonny done this for three rds keeping jones in his plaice and winning by a unanimous decision and becoming the 44kg WELSH CHAMPION for the 1st time,well done Sonny me and everybody at penarth abc are very proud of you and iam sure penarth and dinas Powys is proud of you to

This is Ted and he's a legend. He's 91 and a few years ago sadly his wife died. He was left feeling down and moping around the house. So when friends knocked his door and asked if he'd volunteer in his local community centre in Splott, Cardiff, he said "Why not?". Now he spends his his time helping people with everthing from picking up food from shops and supermarket donations, to serving hot drinks and playing his harmonica. "From that moment on it has been a Godsend to me," he said. "One of the things I do, living on my own... now the winter time has set in, for the first half of a day I will go out and catch the local bus, go into the middle of Cardiff, I'll have cups of coffee in the Wetherspoons... I toddle back then for 2pm-3pm, then I don't mind that I may have to put the central heating on but until then I have got to save. I could not possibly from 9am switch the central heating on."
