Newport Pembs SLSC / Clwb Achub Bywyd Arfordir Trefdraeth

We have trained many lifeguards who have progressed to becoming fully qualified lifeguards working for the RNLI Lifeguard Service.

For young people aged 7–16, our club is the perfect place to build confidence, learn essential water safety and lifesaving skills, and make great friends along the way. We also provide water safety cover at events utilising our Inflatable Rescue Boat.

Great first beach session of the season tonight . We train every Thursday on Traeth Mawr Newport .

Our clubhouse will be open this Saturday from 1 pm till 3 for anyone who wants to find out more about Newport Surf Lifesaving Club and how to join .

We will be back at the beach early May and have spaces for new members .

We welcome Nippers aged 7 to 11 and Juniors 11 +

Swim ability, Wave 5 and above (swim test can be arranged)

We’re opening up our clubhouse and inviting anyone interested to drop in for a friendly chat (and a cuppa!) to learn more about what we do at Newport Surf Lifesaving Club — and how you can get involved.

It’s the last session of pool training on Thursday! There may even be a little chocolate treat 🍫

We’ll then take a short break over the holidays, with an extra couple of weeks to hopefully let the sea warm a bit ,returning for the beach season on May 7th. Looking forward to seeing everyone back then!

It’s important that everyone has the right gear for Surf Life Saving Club. All new members receive a rash vest free of charge, and we’d love to keep this going as part of our sustainability efforts.

If you have any kit that no longer fits, please bring it along so it can be reused and given a new life by another member. 🌊♻️
