As the embers start to die on the greatest fire sale the bike industry has ever seen, many of us are wondering "What the actual #@!* just happened to Chain Reaction Cycles?"
Will one of the strongest bike related brands rise again? We know as much as you.
We do however want to give more than just a nod to some of the "collateral damage" that resulted from what appears to be David Brent levels of financial mismanagement.
They are the team at Hotlines.
Unless you're close to the bike trade, you may not even have heard the name. Hotlines were the behind-the-scenes team that brought you huge brands like Nukeproof, Leatt, WTB, IXS, Ragley and a hundred others.
They were the guys that didn't hesitate when we wanted help setting up the TweedLove Collective. They could never do enough for us and always made sure our young racers had what they needed. Always going the extra mile to get that critical part to them in time for race day.
They were the guys that gave up their time to help relocate our local foodbank.
They were the guys that always made our Bike Festival buzz with all the intel, all the goss and all you needed to know about the world of bikes.
They are the guys that did nothing wrong. And we want to thank them for everything they did for our blimmin' brilliant world of bikes.
We'll be buying them a beer when we see them. Thank you Hotlines. Chapeau. 🔥💪♥️
