Old dog, new tricks?

As cost effective upgrades go, a new set of brakes are high on our list for the Tweed Valley - the latest generation of stoppers have come a long way, and offer a level of power and reliability we could only dream of a few years ago.

The TR4 and GR4 EVO lines, as chosen by this local Valley legend, are firm staff and customer favourites - intuitive but powerful, with easy setup and customisation.

That's a wrap on another incredible weekend of bikes with the Specialized crew!

We had almost 60 riders join us for Specialized's dialled fleet of E-Bikes. Stoke was high and the rain (mainly) stayed away - perfect conditions to give their potential future bikes a proper shakedown.

It was great to catch up with riders afterwards and hear first impressions and tales from the trail. As always a big thank you to Mark, Frankie and Sam for their insight and graft.

Our Levo Demo Weekend kicked off today with a fun cross-valley ride out with bike retailers from across Scotland. An impressive day of riding taking in everything from old-school Inners XC to Golfie trails.

Specialized reps were on hand to make sure settings were dialled and we got the most out of these machines - it was great to start to parse out the differences between Levo EVO and Levo R on our home singletrack!

We still have a few slots across Saturday and Sunday for demo bikes, link in bio if you're interested!

For us, the “best” motor isn’t about the biggest numbers. It’s about how the whole bike rides, especially on the terrain you love most. There’s no point in huge power if the bike doesn’t handle well on the descents. Just our two cents...
