Wellybooters: Outdoor Activities for kids based at Kailzie Gardens.

Wellybooters offers outdoor activity sessions for children in and around Peebles in the Scottish Borders. All sessions are run by Catherine, a primary teacher with significant experience of teaching young children in an outdoor setting. The Wellybooter children will be involved in lots of activities, all of which are great fun and will ensure your child does not lose their sense of adventure and w

onder! The activities include: making mud pies, going on scavenger hunts, looking for bugs, making leaf crowns, following animal tracks, orienteering and building dens. On a personal level, I passionately believe that children need to engage with the natural world through play, be exposed to the elements and be allowed the freedom to work out how to assess risks for themselves. I don't believe we do our children any favours in the long run by wrapping them in cotton wool and I want to give the Wellybooters the freedom and opportunity to play in the natural world and get muddy!

Pre school sessions at Kailzie Gardens for 3-5 year olds starting back after this week Wed 12.50-2.50 . Sessions involve lots of outdoor fun - playing in the streams, pond dipping, den building, mud sliding, scavenger hunts, fun games and making things..... £10 per session. Book your place now!

🥇 Saying goodbye to some very special Wellybooters today. Some have been Wellybooting for more than 2 years. Off to school after the summer. They will fly. Also saying goodbye to Kelly Noble. The most amazing helper we could ever have wished for. We will miss u Kelly x
