I offer 1-2-1 & group personal training, at a location of your choice. We can train at you home, a local park, Sussex University (Falmer) or in my small home studio.

Wednesday morning training has been hit & miss with work conferences and generally feeling too mentally drained to train but with the marathon under 5 weeks away and not being able to get to my Sunday training for weeks now I need to get my consistency back!

I felt strong Wednesday, 15kg more than the last posted video & I could have gone heavier still 🙌

Marathon training is well under way! Just got it make it though a 30k training run in a couple of weeks and then to the start line in one piece.

18months since the last big back issues, followed by trapped nerves, torn Achilles, barely being able to walk for months & then having to rebuild the muscles back in my right leg. Starting my running journey again from only 100m and the leg giving up, building slowly and patiently to now being able to cover 1/2 marathon distance and feel I could carry on. Huge thanks to all my running besties keeping me company and motivated or dealing with with my tears and also a huge thanks to without his training and all I’ve learnt I would have even been back running 5k!

Road running will be easy following these types of trail runs, but they’re so fun especially when running with two of your besties 🙌🙌🏃🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Every Wednesday morning I try to get in the gym and work on my strength training.

Today I got stuck in traffic, had barely slept and forgot my sandbag so the floor slams I wanted to do didn’t happen, time was limited so it went with…
🏋️‍♀️ Calf raise walks with chest squeeze
🏋️‍♀️Lower half dimmels
🏋️‍♀️Trap bar deadlifts
Then as time was running out I did a quick 🏋️‍♀️3x10 of TRX press Up straight into TRX jacknifes.

This video was taken on my last round so no judging that I stopped at 6 press ups for a rest. Plus my feet at elevated which makes it harder 😬

Wow… I have been writing up 12 days of Christmas workouts for about 16 years. The last week of term always means we see how far everyone has come over the 11 week term.

I can only find pics going back 13 years ago when we use to run the class in the main hall. It’s always great fun, there is always chocolates & mince pies/shortbread as a well done from me & I always feel so proud seeing how strong all of my participants have become.

Well done to everyone who took on the 12 days of Christmas this week & in previous years, don’t worry if you missed out there is always next year 😆🎄

Last night was the final Piyo at Sussex Uni of 2025 for me.

I am so lucky to have had such wonderful students, staff and public members joining me each week.

First time back in months trusting my hamstrings and glutes to fire so that my back doesn’t. First rep was a safety rep, I used my breath to find my range and realised the muscles were working that should be and was able to get deeper and deeper with each rep.

First time finding trust in myself to do this with the bar rather than the usual dumbbells. Huge thanks to as always for everything he teaches me about myself in our sessions & in my own sessions.

I just wanted to let you know I am still here I’ve just been rather busy with the new full time job, being mum & still offering my 2 Peacehaven based classes, because I love my clients & I love teaching 💕

Monday’s 7:30 - 8:15pm Bootcamp
Outdoor Group circuits based class.
A whole body workout focusing on lower body, upper body, core and cardio, using strength, toning, aerobic and anaerobic exercises. Every sell has a slightly different structure and focus so no chance of getting bored.
Thursday’s 7:30-8:15pm PiYo
Indoor class uses a mix of Pilates and yoga moves and sequences to stretch, strengthen, tone, increase core strength and work on flexibility. The class is done to music but will be set at a level that keeps everyone together as we move through the exercises and poses

Both classes are suitable for all abilities and fitness levels.

New kicks & new notepad can only mean one thing… the end of an era but the start of something new & exciting.

I’ve told all my clients and most of my friends/family but as I start the new job tomorrow it’s time to post it on social media.

As of tomorrow I will be working full time at Sussex Uni, I’m really excited to be working with a fantastic group to increase participation across campus. As you all know my biggest goal has always been for people to find some kind of movement & exercise that they enjoy in a safe & welcoming environment whether that has been PT’s or classes with me or with other instructors & now I get to make an even bigger difference.

I will still be running some classes at the Uni & my 2 evening classes in Peacehaven but my freelance PT work is taking a back seat whilst I get my teeth into this new adventure. My clients know I’ll always be here for them and many have requested programmes to work through to keep them accountable so I’m not disappearing just cutting back on my RBFittraining offerings.

👶 9:30 -10:15am, Fit Mum’s at The Big Park (in front of the Gateway cafe)
£6 per class
Postnatal safe fitness with a fully qualified post natal fitness instructor & fellow mum. Bring your little 1’s or come childfree.

💪 7:30-8:15pm, Big Park Bootcamp at The Big Park (in front of the Gateway cafe) £7.50 per class
Fun outdoor workout, similar to a circuits class, suitable for a fitness levels and abilities.

What do we do in PiYo… well we move to the music blending yoga and Pilates movements/positions/exercises together. It is a class created by a company called beachbody, the same people that created insanity, core de force etc don’t worry this is one of their slower workouts plus I get to adapt as I see fit for each group I teach, so there are always modifications and options throughout.

There are 10/11 tracks each round, we do a round for about 6-8 weeks before moving on to the next round. Each class we will generally do about 6/7 tracks rotating some in/out each week. In each track we move from one position/movement/exercise to the next some are slower songs and some are faster… sometimes I ignore the beat & we go at the pace the class needs 😊 so no need to worry you that you might not keep up we’re a team we stick together.

We have our warm up tracks, lower body tracks, full body fusion, power, flow (more yoga based), core & more, stretch & strengthen and cool down tracks.

The music is catchy, the routines repeat so you don’t have to remember too many moves each song and the people that come to my class are of all abilities and fitness levels, they are a wonderful welcoming & supportive group so why not come give it a go.

This ⬆️ deserved to be a post rather than just a story thats only there for 24hrs.
Leigh has been coming to my classes for the last 10months and has gone from strength to strength smashing his goals!

🏃‍♂️ Yesterday I got to be a part of watching a never ending smile form on his face as he realised the time he ran, utterly infectious and the reason I do my job… to see my clients fulfil their goals and being beyond proud of themselves & bloody rightly so!

💪 Leigh been concentrating on enjoying his running & seeing his 5k parkrun times coming down as his fitness and strength, flexibility and stretching have all improved & when I heard he had hit a PB of 30:59 I promised to help pace him under 30mins as soon as I was able to 🙌

⌚️ Nearly 7 weeks later I finally made good on my promise, although he honestly didn’t need me at all smashing way over a minute and a half off of his old PB coming in at 29:12 🙌

👍Consistency and dedication to yourself pays off but also finding the joy in the exercise you choose to do.
