Peter Snaith Memorial Shield

It is always important to take a moment to remember those who have played a special part in our club’s journey. This trophy honours three individuals who remain a cherished part of the Patrington AFC family – Peter Snaith, Simon Wright, and Jack Cross.

Their passion for football, friendship, and dedication to the club helped shape Patrington AFC into what it is today. Their legacy continues to inspire players, coaches, and supporters alike.

The Memorial Shield is awarded not for goals scored or matches won, but for something just as important – respect, sportsmanship, and fair play. These values are at the heart of youth football and reflect everything our club stands for.

This season, our Under 9s Blacks have proudly earned this award through their outstanding conduct, positive attitude, and respect for teammates, opponents, referees, and the game itself.

Congratulations to every player, coach, and parent involved. You have done yourselves, your team, and the club proud, and are truly deserving winners of the Peter Snaith Memorial Shield.

Patrington AFC 2025/26 Season Presentation

At the weekend, Patrington AFC held our 2025/26 Season Presentation at Sand Le Mere Holiday Park.

The fantastic venue provided the perfect setting to celebrate another successful year for nearly 150 children. From our youngest players, aged just four and learning how to kick a ball, to our Under-16s celebrating a league-winning season, and everyone in between, it was a wonderful day recognising all their achievements.

None of this would be possible without the commitment and support of our players, parents, sponsors, officials and, most importantly, our outstanding coaches. Every one of them is a volunteer, giving up their own time several times a week, in all weather conditions, simply for the love of the game and the development of our young people.

A special thank you goes to Paul and all the staff at Sand Le Mere for providing a first-class service at very short notice, and to Vicky Benge Photography for the fantastic team and individual photographs, as well as her patience throughout the day. Finally, a special thank you to my sidekick, Steve. Quite simply, without him I would not be able to do this. His support, hard work, loyalty and friendship have been invaluable, and the club is all the better for having him involved. Thank you, mate β€” I genuinely couldn't do it without you.

This presentation marked our 15th and final one under the Patrington AFC banner as we now transition back to the proud Patrington Stanley name. The reasons behind the formation of Patrington Stanley in the 1990s remain a huge part of our club's ethos today, making this return especially meaningful.

Keep your eye closely on 2026, there isnt just a World Cup coming, there's Open Age football coming back to the village for the first time in almost 10 years.
With a great team of people supporting the club every step of the way, the future looks extremely bright.

As always, β€” and now, once again, .

See you on the field, you all know I live there.
