Omg, what away to start the autumn term 🍂🔥🍄 it was lovely to catch up with everyone, at Little Acorns , as I have been working somewhere else on Thursdays over the summer. We also had some new fun for everyone to explore

Wow Autumn 🍂 is here. Ive been enjoying a little break after our super busy summer holidays.
Thanks to everyone for attending over the summer for holiday clubs with Time2Move Holiday Programme and Active Cornwall .
Thanks to the wonderful staff for supporting young people and helping them have fun and make memories 😊 also our young leaders for everything they do 💙💚
Not much time to rest. Now planning for Autumn term 🧡🤎 I love this time of year! Fungus spotting. Wooly jumpers (its still to warm for jumpers!).
Little Acorns every Thursday 10-12 we will be having lots of Autumn 🍂 crafts and tuff tray fun. Looking at crafts for the grown-ups too 😍
After School Club every Thursday 4-5.30 we will be looking at our bushcraft skills and enjoying the evenings getting cooler and darker 🤩
We have our schools groups starting up again as well which is great and planning some builds and new skills for our young people to learn.
Also I know its still a way off but I think we will have some holiday clubs over half-term.

Oh what fun. How much fun can you have with a conker?
LOTS all summer! Week 5 of holiday club in partnership with Time2Move Holiday Programme and Active Cornwall and they have got it down to a fine art. Collecting the conkers, using a vice to hold and squeeze the conker shell, then pulling conker out.
Did you know conkers can be white if opened when they are immature ? They turn brown after an hour or so in the air? Its wonderful the things you learn while playing in nature.

What a lovely morning celebrating a wonderful 3rd birthday for a lovely young man. He loves spiderman 🕷and dinosaurs 🦕. Everyone made their own spider 🕷, they played lots, took part in a brilliant assault course and ate yummy food. The cake was incredibly 😋 😍

Week 4 of holiday club in partnership with Time2Move Holiday Programme and Active Cornwall , came to an end with a visit from Young People Cornwall . Its always fun when working with other organisations and meeting there young people.
We had lots of fun and learnt all about wood preparation. Its a shame that we can't have fires but a good learning opportunity, a chance to talk about how the weather is changing, how that effects us and how to be safe about lighting fires. Hopefully with a little more rain the ground will be safe for fire lighting again soon. Chopping wood is lots of fun too 😃

Week 4 of holiday club in partnership with Time2Move Holiday Programme and Active Cornwall we did alot of swinging around. Everyone loves the swings. Here are a few been tested. Don't they look fun ?
We also celebrated a young person's birthday 🎂. Its a real privilege to share special moments with our young people.
Making memories, making friends and having fun.

Some of the faces of the wonderful people that make our holiday clubs what they are. This isn't the whole team! Next week I'll get photos of the others (you've been warned ⚠️).
After 3 weeks of making fun, memories and friendships I just wanted to take a minute to appreciate our young leaders and wider community that give up their time to support us and our young people. Everyone does such a great job to make every day special 👏 ❤️
A big shout out to the young leaders who volunteer and work so hard to give peer to peer support as well as helping prepare food, play games, get creative and generally are super stars 💖 🌟 We couldn't do it without you.
Our young leaders come from other groups and with only 2 weeks of summer holidays remaining 😭 its time to start thinking about autumn term!!!
