The end of season presentation was held recently, & a massive thank you to Elderslie Golf Club for once again hosting the event.

With several of the players moving on to under 20's football next season, this marks the end of the road for Glenvale 2009's (Reds).

We'd like to thank all the sponsors, parents, & coaches who have supported the team over the years, but the biggest thank you goes to the players. They've been a privilege to work with & we wish them all the success in the world not only in football, but in life in general.

The final award winners were as follows,

Player of the year - Cammy McMillan

Parent's player of the year - Kai McWhinnie

Top Goalscorer - Sam Deakin & Niko Malinowski

Our end of season presentation was held recently and a great night was had celebrating the team's fantastic League winning success, and the individual award winners for season 2024/25.

A massive thank you to all the parents and sponsors for your support throughout the season, to Elderslie Golf Club for their hospitality on the night, but especially to our players for making it a season to remember.

The award winners were,

Season Review:
2024/25 has been another successful season for the boys on all fronts. The League campaign started slowly, and 2 defeats to our main rivals in the opening 7 games wasn’t an ideal start. However, this would prove to be the only games the boys would lose all season as they went on a remarkable seven month unbeaten run in the League, taking 37 points from the remaining 13 games, that seen them crowned Champions!

The Cup draws weren’t too kind with the boys facing six Division 1 sides, but they again showed the improvement that’s been made in recent seasons by losing just 2 of those games.

As well as the joy that winning trophies brings, it’s equally as pleasing to see the progression of the players as individuals and a team. Thirteen of our League winning squad this season were also part of the squad that won the Divisional Cup last season, which demonstrates that working consistently with the players, being patient, and encouraging the boys to develop is paying off.

It’s an exciting time to be part of Glenvale Reds 2009’s as we continue our journey in Division 1 next season.
