“I’m too tired to exercise...”
It’s one of the most common reasons people give for not working out.
But have you ever noticed that the people who exercise regularly often seem to have more energy, not less?
This comes down to the old saying:
⭐️Use it or lose it⭐️
When you spend long periods sitting, being inactive, and avoiding movement because you’re tired, your body becomes less efficient. Your fitness levels drop, your muscles weaken, your cardiovascular system works harder for everyday tasks, and you can end up feeling even more fatigued.
💣Exercise does the opposite💣
Regular movement improves blood flow, strengthens your heart, increases oxygen delivery around the body, improves sleep quality, reduces stress, and boosts mood-enhancing hormones. Over time, your body becomes better at producing and using energy.
Think about it like charging a battery. It sounds backwards, but expending energy through exercise actually helps your body create more of it.
Of course, if you’re genuinely exhausted from illness, lack of sleep, or overtraining, rest is important. But for most people, the feeling of being “too tired” to exercise is often exactly why they need to move.
Start small. A walk. A workout. A few minutes of movement.
Because the more you move, the more capable, stronger, and energetic you become.
💪 Use it or lose it.
⚡ Movement creates energy.
🏃 Your future self will thank you for starting today.
