Actually my 2nd time to Brunton Park, my 1st visit was about a decade ago watching St Mirren in a pre season friendly.

A good entertaining game but I think the home side just edged it for me.

All seats were sold out for the League Two playoff winners so I opted for standing on the Warwick Road end.

Owen Moxon was very good and scored a superb free kick.

Didn't recognise the Fleetwood manager, Scott Brown does have hair!

Pre match pint was at The Beehive, I don't think I'll order again what I drank but I'm keen to continue to try the local beers where possible.......Woodys92 rating was 5/10

Half time pie was a Scotch pie considering I was close to the border,.....Woodys92 rating 7/10 but unfortunately need to downgrade to 5/10 due to the length of time it took to get served!

Overall match experience 6/10, decent atmosphere buoyed by a big crowd for opening day.

Next up is a midweek trip to Yorkshire, Harrogate Town AFC on Tuesday followed by Leeds United on Wednesday.

Where to start.

I love football, I enjoyed playing and coaching but above all I love watching this great game and most importantly the whole match day experience.

I am from Manchester in England and have lived in Paisley, Scotland for 25 years.

I am a St Mirren season ticket holder along with my 2 boys and have been fortunate enough to visit nearly every professional ground in Scotland.

My long standing wish was to one day start to complete the 92 club (the 92 grounds on the top 4 divisions in England) and that day has now come.

Saturday 5th August is the start ladies and gentlemen with the short trip down the M74 to Carlisle for the opening league game of the season v Fleetwood Town.

It's been a challenge of mine for a number of years now and my wife, children and friends have put up with me talking about doing this so I am pleased to announce that on 5th August 2023 I will commence my 92 club challenge.

I have given myself till 31st December 2024 to visit all 92 clubs in the English Premier League, Championship, League One and League Two plus the 2 clubs promoted from the Conference in 2024.

The challenge is to complete this in the chosen time frame and my aim is to take in any competitive matches in the league, FA and League cup.

I'll need help from my many friends around the country to complete this so please don't be stranger when I message for help and advice.

Wish me luck on my travels.
