🏊‍♀️🏅 Devon Masters Success for Paignton SC! 🏅🏊‍♂️

A huge well done to our Masters swimmers who represented Paignton Swimming Club at the Devon Masters Championships at Plymouth Life Centre on Sunday.

Our swimmers delivered an outstanding set of performances, bringing home 8 individual gold medals, 4 silver medals and 2 bronze medals, along with victories in both the 200m Freestyle Relay and 200m Medley Relay in the 160-199 years age category. 🥇🥇

Danielle enjoyed a clean sweep of gold medals in the 200m IM, 50m Breaststroke and 100m IM.

Sarah claimed gold in the 50m Back and 100m IM, along with silver in the 50m Fly.

Charlotte secured silver in the 100m IM, bronze in the 50m Back along with a new PB, and a strong fourth-place finish in the 50m Free.

Jess added a silver medal in the 50m Free.

Also flying the flag locally, Gareth and Gethin competed under Totnes Swimming Club, joining coach Kalon in the Men's 200m Medley Relay, where they took first place.

Gareth won all three of his individual breaststroke events, while Gethin made an impressive Devon Masters debut, winning the 200m Free and adding silver in the 50m Fly and bronze in the 50m Back. 💪

A special mention to these swimmers, who regularly give their time to the club as coaches, team managers and poolside helpers. It's fantastic to see them leading by example and showing that competitive swimming can be enjoyed at any age. 👏

🏊 This weekend, it's our coaches and team managers' turn to swap poolside duties for starting blocks as they head to Plymouth Life Centre for the annual Devon Masters Meet. 🏊‍♀️

After spending countless hours coaching, encouraging and supporting our swimmers, Gareth, Danielle, Charlotte, Jess and Sarah will be putting their own racing skills to the test. 💪⏱️

🌟 TEAM DEVON CALL-UP! 🌟

Congratulations to Rupert and Grace, who have been selected to represent Devon County ASA at the Swim England National County Team Championships in Sheffield on 4th October! 🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️

Being chosen to swim for your county is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of the hard work, commitment and performances both swimmers have shown throughout the season. What an honour to wear the Devon colours and compete against some of the best county swimmers from across England.

The National County Team Championships is one of the most exciting events in the swimming calendar, with over 900 swimmers from more than 30 counties competing in front of a packed crowd at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre. The event marks the start of the short course season and always delivers a brilliant atmosphere, fierce competition and plenty of county pride.

We're incredibly proud to see Paignton Swimming Club represented on the county stage and wish Rupert and Grace the very best of luck as they compete for Team Devon County ASA 💛💙

📺 The event will be live streamed and we'll share viewing details closer to the day so everyone can follow the action and cheer them on from home. 🥳

🏊 A fantastic gala for our Silver and Gold Squad swimmers, and the perfect opportunity for anyone wanting to experience racing at Plymouth Life Centre for the first time!

🏊‍♀️ Exeter City Swimming Club Sprint Meet 🏊‍♀️

Entries are NOW OPEN!

The meet takes place on Sunday 27 September 2026 at Plymouth Life Centre.

This Level 3 Short Course (25m) licensed meet is an excellent opportunity for Paignton Swimming Club's Silver 1, Silver 2 and Gold squads to gain racing experience and achieve qualifying times for upcoming County Championships.

Platinum squad swimmers are also welcome to enter, but please be aware that upper limit entry times apply, so some faster swimmers may not be eligible for certain events.

⏰ Paignton SC internal entry deadline: 5 September 2026

Please note:
• Entries are not first come, first served – all entries will be considered after the closing date.
• 'No Times' (NTs) cannot be accepted. If your Swim Manager account shows an NT, please contact Derek to arrange an estimated time before entering.
• There are no exhibition swims, deck entries or late entries.
