Good sleep is essential for our health and emotional wellbeing​ and the amount of sleep you need changes as you age.​

We know that regular exercise and a balanced diet​ supports us getting enough, quality sleep but did you know the habits below can help you to get a better night's sleep?​

Going to bed and getting up at the same time every day.
Keeping your bedroom quiet, relaxing, and at a cool temperature.
Turning off electronic devices at least 30 minutes before bedtime.
Avoiding large meals and alcohol before bedtime.
Avoiding caffeine in the afternoon or evening.

Magnesium also helps improve the quality of sleep by promoting relaxation and reducing muscle cramps or tension. Foods like dark chocolate, spinach, almonds, and avocados are​ all rich in magnesium.​
