A bit cooler this week, for our Thursday night run. Two groups out through Primley Woods, then on to Blagdon and back.

Another hot one, this time an internal GP race. The shortest, but probably hilliest in the GP, the Oddicombe hill climb. Well done to all who took part and a big thank you to marshals Jean, Colin, Shaun and John.

A big thanks to Route Master in Chief Guy Henderson for our social run around Stoke Gabriel. Thirsts quenched by a visit to The River Shack afterwards and joined by SDAC Real Ale Militant Wing aka Roger 🤣.

And 11 went off to Kingsbridge. 10 runners, with race adjudicator, John, ventured south for the Kingsbridge Fair Week 10k.

It was a small field of local runners, heading east, eventually in a figure of eight. Country lanes, "Devon undulations" and lovely views made it a challenging but enjoyable evening.

Definitely one to do again.

A fabulous turn out last night for Alan Sloman's Scasdon Screamer race. This is an annual 4.2 km through the woods, starting and finishing near Occombe farm. Maybe saying it is "loved by all" might be an exaggeration😄.

The event was only marred by the lack of the usual reward of Alan's runner beans as prizes for the first and last runners home. Though amply replaced with drinks miniatures. Oh yes and home via The Old Smokey.🍺🍷

Finally, a huge thanks to Alan, Lynda, Liz, Jean and John for marshaling and marking the course

Sunday 5th July was the 4th race of the clubs Grand Prix series, the Magnigicant 7. Was a hot and hilly course, 7 hills around beautiful countryside lanes in Saltash.
Well done to everyone who took part👏
