Congratulations Paignton Sailing Club sailor Evie for winning the Tera Sport fleet at the Dartmouth Dinghy Regatta. She also won the award for best sailor under 12. Well done to Annabel for her great attitude, which earned her a prize.

Congratulations to Chris and Mark for achieving third place in the RS21 Nationals at Royal Torbay Yacht Club. Despite never having sailed the boat before, they, along with crew members Carl and Freya, secured three first-place finishes.

Paignton Sailing Club’s Martina Vasili has just returned from Quiberon, France, where she competed in the Topper (ITCA) World Championships — a fantastic milestone in her sailing journey. Racing against a truly international field, Martina secured 30th place in the Silver Fleet, a result that reflects her determination and steady progress in the class.

Martina joined the club four years ago after her family moved to the UK from Ukraine, and she has since become a familiar and committed presence on the water. She regularly competes at Topper Traveller events across the region, continually building her skills and confidence. Her achievement in Quiberon is a brilliant testament to how far she has come.

Congratulations to the talented sailors of Paignton Sailing Club who competed this week at the Fireball Worlds hosted by RTYC. They faced some tough conditions but demonstrated incredible skill and determination. Simon Lomas Clarke & Rob Daniels led the club’s effort, finishing an impressive 25th overall. Close behind were Mark Ripley & Ethan Deeley in 46th place, Christine Willcocks alongside her father Graham in 50th, Dale Giles & Ben Fuller at 69th, and Iain Walker with Tim Morgan rounding out the fleet in 72nd. Proud moments for Paignton Sailing Club!
