This is Harriet.

Harriet came to me in January 2024 only to find out she had Breast Cancer a couple of weeks later. We had to stop training straight away so that she could start her chemo.
I can't even start to imagine what she and her family have been through in the last year and a half but she stands here today having overcome all the odds, including chemotherapy and a mastectomy, and is now fighting fit, working towards a 100km walk across the Sahara desert in November in aid of Coppafeel.

When she restarted with me on Feb/March of this year, she couldn't get her arm above her head. Now she's bench pressing 25kg and squatting and deadlifting nearly 50kg.
Due to some meds she was on to look after her heart after chemo, we didn't allow her heart rate to go too high but with a plan and a way, we are now pushing Harriet to her limits! So that she can bring awareness to the impacts that breast cancer brings to families, and walk 100km over 5 days.
Harriet will say she didn't have a choice but to fight this horrible disease, and although that might be true, it's still an amazing achievement to be where she is now.

Please donate by using the attached link and comment below some encouragement to her!

This is Pauline and its been 1 year to the day that she started her fitness journey with me.
She's phenomenal!

She's 64
She was 13 stone 8lbs back in August 29th 2024, she felt hopeless as she couldn't last longer than 5 minutes on the bike without feeling faint and needing to stop. There were many days when she couldn't do anymore than 30minute sessions.
There's been tears, there's been days when she has wanted to give up.
But she didn't...

Today she stands here 11 stone 2lbs.
Today she stands here proud that she can back squat 25kgs
Today she stands here proud that she can consistently do 2 hours a week of weight lifting.
Today she stands here proud that she can walk up Hay Tor without getting out of breath (honestly, this is a HUGE achievement)
Today she stands here proud that she has stuck at it and so am I.

What difference can you make to your health in 1 year?

Launching my new logo for Empower!

I wanted something bright to fit my personality, something different than the normal Personal Training logos but still clearly shows what service I offer and that grabs the eye.
This will look really cool on a T-shirt too!!

What do you think? Which one is your favourite?

I see too many people trying to sabotage someone's new health journey.
Saying things like:
"Oh go on, one more won't hurt"
Or
"Don't let the team down

Can you relate? Read on

For many, It's hard enough trying to lose the weight as it is.
- They're trying to undo a lot of bad old habits.
- They're trying to look after themselves better.
- They're trying to give themselves a healthier, fitter life that not only benefits them but the people around them.
So here are some things that you can do to help support them.

"It's great that you're focusing on you're health"
- Try to shift the focus away from their weight and instead, compliment their efforts towards better health and wellness. This can show them that you see the bigger picture and that you want to support them as they create a healthier lifestyle for themselves.

"How can I support you?"
- The best way to know how to support someone with their weight loss goals is to simply ask. They may want a workout buddy, or they might need someone to talk to for accountability. Some people even prefer it if you don't mention diet or weight at all. Don't be afraid to ask

For many trying to lose weight, they are learning the power of saying 'No' so by tempting them to give in and have that Dominos is not helpful.
Try to create a culture of empowerment and encouragement.

Now, I'm not telling you to stop doing as you please with your own health but I am politely asking you to stop tempting your friend/ family who's trying to lose weight.
Respect, Encourage, Empower
