This is Harriet.
Harriet came to me in January 2024 only to find out she had Breast Cancer a couple of weeks later. We had to stop training straight away so that she could start her chemo.
I can't even start to imagine what she and her family have been through in the last year and a half but she stands here today having overcome all the odds, including chemotherapy and a mastectomy, and is now fighting fit, working towards a 100km walk across the Sahara desert in November in aid of Coppafeel.
When she restarted with me on Feb/March of this year, she couldn't get her arm above her head. Now she's bench pressing 25kg and squatting and deadlifting nearly 50kg.
Due to some meds she was on to look after her heart after chemo, we didn't allow her heart rate to go too high but with a plan and a way, we are now pushing Harriet to her limits! So that she can bring awareness to the impacts that breast cancer brings to families, and walk 100km over 5 days.
Harriet will say she didn't have a choice but to fight this horrible disease, and although that might be true, it's still an amazing achievement to be where she is now.
