7 DAYS TO GO! 🎉

Next Sunday, we’ll be welcoming thousands of participants to the Torbay Half Marathon & 10K, and if you’re looking to hit a particular finish time, our pacers will be there to help you along the way.

Our amazing friends at Plymouth Musketeers Running Club will be providing pacers throughout the routes. Keep an eye out for the large GWR green pacer flags attached to their backs, showing their target finish time.

The Torbay Athletic Club Trophy is returning for this year’s Torbay Half Marathon! 🏆

The trophy will be awarded to the fastest male and female participant with a Torbay postcode, giving local participants the chance to compete for a piece of Torbay running history.

The trophy is exclusive to Half Marathon participants and no club membership is required. If you live in Torbay and are taking part in the Half Marathon on Sunday 20 September, you’ll automatically be considered.

The trophy recognises the history of the event and the role Torbay Athletic Club played in establishing the Torbay Half Marathon more than 30 years ago.

🏆 Winners will receive:
• The Torbay Athletic Club Trophy
• A permanent memento of their achievement
• Free entry into the Torbay Half Marathon
• A Sunday Roast for two guests at Mercure Hotel Paignton, available from 18 October

*The trophy will be presented to the winners post event and by a representative of Torbay Athletic Club.

Your race number is personal to you so please don’t give it to someone else and don’t run under a number that isn’t registered in your name.

It might seem like a harmless swap between friends, but it can cause real problems.

🏃 Your number is connected to your registration details and emergency contact information. If you need medical assistance, we need to know who you are.

📊 It can also mean inaccurate results and age categories, and potentially affect other runners' achievements.

From helping participants at the start and finish to cheering along the route and supporting behind the scenes, there are plenty of ways to get involved. It's a great way to be part of the atmosphere, meet new people and experience the event from the inside!
