⚓ PYC WEEKLY ROUND-UP ⚓
Cards, questionable 80s fashion, fishing, sailing, live music & plenty more!
Another busy week at Pagham Yacht Club, with a bit of everything thrown in!
🃏 Friday – Play Your Cards Right & Back to the 80s!
Friday night saw another brilliant Play Your Cards Right, with Marc Howard becoming our latest winner and taking home a very nice £80! 👏💷
But cards weren’t the only entertainment…
Somehow, the evening also turned into “Turn Yourself Into an 80s Person” night! 😂
There was a lot of photo editing, some spectacular hairstyles, questionable fashion choices and, worryingly, a few people who looked like they fitted into the 80s just a little too comfortably! 😂
A really fun night all round.
🎣 Saturday – Fishing & a quieter one at the Club
Saturday morning saw some of our anglers out enjoying a bit of fishing, while the Club itself had a much more relaxed day and closed a little earlier than usual.
Sometimes even PYC has a quiet day!
⛵🎣 Sunday – Sailing, fishing & the weather forecast that wasn’t quite right!
Sunday morning saw more fishing from the beach, while unfortunately the planned charter trip had to be cancelled because of the forecast.
And then, of course… the weather turned out to be absolutely fine for fishing! 🤦♀️😂
Needless to say, there were a few rather unhappy fishermen looking at the sea and wondering what might have been!
We also had sailing on Sunday, with another great effort from everyone involved in getting boats on the water and making it happen safely.
❤️ Supporting the RNLI
We were also delighted to welcome the RNLI ladies to PYC on Sunday.
There was a fantastic response from everyone at the Club and a brilliant amount of money was raised for the RNLI. A huge thank you to everyone who donated and showed their support.
The RNLI is there for those who use and enjoy the sea when help is needed, so it was lovely to be able to welcome them to PYC and support their fundraising efforts. ❤️⚓
🎤 Open Mic Sunday
We finished the weekend with a fantastic Open Mic, and what a turnout!
A big thank you to everyone who came along, performed, supported and helped create such a brilliant atmosphere.
And we’re very pleased to say that after their fantastic performance, ELM 15 are coming back to sing at PYC! 🎶👏
They were absolutely brilliant, and we’re really looking forward to welcoming them back.
