Final match result…
Lanner 4️⃣ Padstow United Ladies 1️⃣
With nothing to play for and once again struggling with player numbers, we still managed to field a squad with two subs.
Lanner raced into a 2-0 lead with two very quick goals, and losing our centre-back Keira early on with a suspected broken toe certainly didn’t help matters. 4-0 at half time.
The second half was a totally different story, with Monica, Lilly and Flo all going close before Ellie linked up with Flo to play Monica in to score. Monica then had another goal ruled out for a very tight offside.
Lanner were able to rotate players in the heat, while we were down to just one sub and eventually ran out of steam. Final score 4-1.
Plenty of positives to take from the game though — having 13 players available and winning the second half 1-0 shows the character and determination in this squad. 💪⚽

As we head into June fitness training and a full pre-season in July, we’re also looking to add new players to the squad ahead of next season.

Today's Ladies of the match went to Ellie who didnt stop running all game, this was recognised by her fellow team mates.
And Coaches player to Gemma who played in a few positions that she doesn't normally play.
We will go again in our 5th season next.
