Your first yoga class is not a test you’re quietly failing.

It’s completely normal to feel confused, hold your breath, miss a cue, take a break, feel wobbly, or wonder whether everyone else secretly received the instructions in advance.

You’re not bad at yoga.
You’re just new to it.

And that’s allowed.

Come as you are, take what you need, rest when you need to, and remember: everyone in the room had a first class once.

A soft spinal flow can be a lovely way to create a bit of movement without needing everything to feel intense.

This kind of practice is less about pushing for range and more about making space, moving with a little more awareness, and letting the spine feel gently mobilised in different directions.

Sometimes that quieter kind of movement is exactly what helps you feel better.
