Parallettes Assisted Planche: Fifth Attempt At The Straight-Armed Planche With Band Assist
My fifth attempt at The parallettes assisted planche with band assist, recruits a multitude of musculature. The primary movers include the triceps brachii, responsible for elbow extension through a powerful triplanar force vector generated by the long head, medial head, and lateral head working in concert. The anterior deltoid, serratus anterior, and upper trapezius function synergistically to depress and stabilise the scapulae, counteracting the upward rotatory forces imparted by the triceps. Core musculature, specifically the re**us abdominis, obliques, and transverse abdominis, co-contract isometrically to maintain spinal stability and prevent unwanted lumbar hyperextension or hyperflexion.
