The OSMA term resumes this Thursday.
Sensei Laurence has volunteered to teach until Sunday, for which I'm both honoured and grateful. Please make a special effort to come and support his lessons. He’s more than just a substitute: he's a Second Dan instructor and the Deputy Head of our school.
He’s been training with OSMA for 20 years and his three siblings have all trained with us to a high level. His oldest sister, Edith, started with me in ‘95! Sensei Alfred, First Dan, still trains alongside his brother twice every week. Sensei Laurence also has a degree in teaching and has spent the last four years working in primary schools.
It’s a cliché, but he truly has a passion for teaching and has shown an aptitude for it ever since starting as a Senpai at the age of 12. Most of all, he’s kind, and I’m proud to have him as one of my best friends.

We have invited Jackie Chan but can't guarantee he will be there.
