What a fantastic day for our Oxford Panthers U11s at the Nomads Korfball Tournament on Sunday! 🐾🏀☀️

Our young Panthers played korfball all day, showing great teamwork, determination, and enthusiasm. We won some games, lost some games, but most importantly, learned a huge amount. It was fantastic to see how much the players improved throughout the day.

A massive well done to all the children for giving their all, even in the soaring sunshine! You should be incredibly proud of yourselves.

Thank you to our amazing parents for making the long journey and supporting the team, and a huge thank you to Nomads Korfball Club and all the organisers for putting on such a brilliant day of junior korfball.

🥎 MK to host national youth korfball tournament for first time ever 🥎

Milton Keynes will be hosting a national youth tournament for the exciting mixed team sport of korfball, for the first time ever!

The England Korfball "National Youth Day" event has been running since the 1990s as an inclusive festival and celebration of the sport, open to teams from clubs and schools in three age groups, of all experience levels from beginner to experienced. For the first time it is coming to Milton Keynes, which is a testament to the hard work carried out by local organisation MK Youth Korfball Trust (MKYKT) to develop the sport in the local area.

Korfball is an exciting sport played by mixed-gender teams, with some similarities to netball and basketball and with its own unique rules to encourage teamwork and cooperation. The aim of the game is to work with your team-mates to get the ball through the hoop (Korf).

The event will take place on Sunday 5th July at MK Rugby Club in Emerson Valley.

MKYKT are looking for more local children and young people to try korfball to see whether they would like to join one of the MK club teams taking part in the event, so that as many local children as possible have a chance to take part. All abilities are welcome and new players don't have to have played korfball before, and all are welcome whether they want to join the club permanently or just in the run-up to the tournament! There are age groups for U9 (school years 2-4), U11 (school years 5-6) and U13 (school years 7-8).

🐾🔥 What a fantastic and busy Korfball weekend for the Oxford Panthers! 🖤💛

🚐 On Saturday we travelled to Milton Keynes with two teams - the Black Panthers and the Gold Panthers. 🐾 Both teams outperformed themselves, showing amazing teamwork, determination and sportsmanship. We are incredibly proud of them! 💪

🏐 The Panthers played against teams from Milton Keynes and Cambridge, and the games were fantastic. All the children were fully engaged, played brilliantly and, most importantly, had loads of fun! 😄

👏 A huge thank you to the organisers and helpers, the parents, and most importantly the children for making it such a great event.

Our weekly kids groups restart on Mon 12th Jan (age 6-11) and Wed 14th Jan (two groups age 6-11 and age 11-14) All boys and girls invited to come and try it with a free taster, just get in touch.

If you’re a parent or other adult who would rather have a go yourself then we can put you in touch with adult clubs!

🙏 Modular Korfball post needed 🙏

We’re looking for an additional Korfball post for our children’s Korfball training sessions. At the moment we only have one, which makes running sessions a bit challenging as our group continues to grow.

If you know anyone who has a spare Korfball post that they no longer use and would be happy to pass on, we would be incredibly grateful.

Alternatively, if you can recommend a steel or aluminium fabrication company that could make a post from scratch or copy our existing one, please let us know. The post would need to be modular, so that it can be easily transported and set up for training.

Any help, suggestions, or contacts would be very much appreciated.
