Great news to again have Michelle de Carle with us for this years Random Rucker’s Physiotherapist for 2026 summer season, her very impressive career speaks for itself.
As a registered member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and Health Care Professions Council (HCPC), Michelle has over 20 years experience as a Physiotherapist.
Her roles have been within the NHS, Private Hospitals, Private Sports Injury Clinics across the East Midlands, as well as across many sports, from grass roots to podium level. Spending 10 years of her career working in Professional level sport.
At National Squad level Michelle has worked for Leicester Tigers Rugby Club, Leicester City Football Club and Leicestershire County Cricket Club.
Michelle has worked in elite training centres for England Rugby, Ballroom & Latin Dance, Ballet & Contemporary Dance and Great Britain (GB) athletes including Judo, Taekwondo, Ski, Springboard Diving, Athletics, Wheelchair Table Tennis, Weight Lifting, Volleyball, Cycling, Wheelchair Basketball. Michelle also traveled with the Men’s Wheelchair Basketball team during their Paralympic leg at the London 2012 games.
Internationally Michelle has also worked abroad with athletes competing in the Formula 3 Car Racing circuit.
Over the years, Michelle has held various senior positions, alongside her Clinical Specialist roles; as Clinical Lead, Deputy Physiotherapy Manager, Physiotherapy Manager and she is currently in post as a Clinical Director for de Carle Physiotherapy, based at Vipers RFC in Leicester.
Over the years Michelle has developed strong links with many consultants and GP’s, as a Clinical Specialist across a number of Physiotherapy fields including; Musculoskeletal, Orthopaedic, Paediatrics, Neurology, Rheumatology, Breast Cancer Care & Aquatic Therapy.
Alongside a Batchelor of Science in Physiotherapy, Michelle has academically underpined her clinical experiences within the field of Sport & Exercise Medicine with a PG Certificate in Sports Physiotherapy in 2009 and became a Master of Science in Sport Injury Management & Therapy in 2012. Michelle is trained in Acupuncture, Clinical Pilates and Clinical Yoga.
Qualified in Pitch Side Pre-Hospital immediate Care in Sport at level 2, Michelle has been a key member of many well established sports medicine teams over the years, and is looking forward to sponsoring The Random Ruckers in the 2026 Rugby 7’s tournaments.
Michelle can be found drinking milky tea with honey, practicing yoga or indulging in the family tradition of Gelato.
