Meet Jess - Your 2026/27 President 👑

Nickname: Lucky/JL
Favourite Drink: Hugo Spritz
Relationship status: Single

Super organised, always on top of things, most likely sleep deprived and yet somehow capable of keeping everything under control.

Jess is always keen for a p**s up, and if you’re really lucky, a game of truth or dare! She can see off a Hugo Spritz quicker than most people can order one (definitely under 30 seconds).

The best social battery we’ve ever seen from anyone, a professional socialiser, and absolutely, definitely, 100% does NOT work for Red Bull… despite compelling evidence suggesting otherwise 👀.

Whether she’s organising shoots, sorting socials, being a freak in the sheets on Excel or making sure everyone gets home in one piece, we genuinely couldn’t imagine anyone better for the role, just don’t ask her about stalling six or seven times on the way to Newcastle Ball (that was only in the Cheney car park, should have seen her down the ring road)

Meet Phoebe - Your 2026/27 Vice President ⭐️

Nickname: Geebies
Drink: Hugo spritz/Cider
Relationship: Treating em mean keeping em keen x

Phoebe is one of the most loyal club members, she’s fun and brings her all when it comes to the club whether it’s shooting, socialising or letting down Brendan’s tires!

Getting in Phoebe’s car on the way to a ball is considered an extreme sport by most, and passengers are strongly advised to update their wills and/or life insurance beforehand. As for shooting… she couldn’t hit a clay if it hovered directly in front of her and politely requested to be shot. Luckily confidence has never depended on accuracy!

Possibly best known for the infamous Newcastle tiramisugate. To this day, nobody knows exactly how many plates of it she ate, but witnesses estimate the number is firmly into double digits. Welcome to the committee !

Meet Matt — your Treasurer for 2026/27 💰

Nickname: Matt from the flat
Favourite Drink: Vodka
Relationship status: Single

Matt somehow makes sense of club finances with a calm confidence that suggests he’s been balancing books since birth or at least since he discovered calculators and AI.

Outside of OBSC admin duties, Matt is basically a walking toolbox. He owns what can only be described as the crappiest lawn mower in Oxford, but still insists it pretty much does the job. Need a boiler fixed? Matt’s your man. Need a BBQ conquered? Matt’s your man. Need a Thursday glam to cure the Wednesday hangover? Matt’s your man. Need to two-man-step a hinge date? Matt’s your man. Just don’t ask him about Voi’s or if he kindly offers you a ride on one, please for your safety decline the offer…

Meet Rose — your Events Manager for 2026/27 💃

Relationship status: a Nun

Now introducing Rose, our very own clay conservationist! The most organised person ever, who started planning her 21st the day after her 4th birthday. Known for using a fire alarm at the gym as a good enough excuse for a rest day.

Mummy Rose will have all you belles ready for the best Balls you could ever wish for. She is the life and soul of Fish on a Wednesday, cutting some serious shapes on the dance floor and running the bar dry of Jaeger.

If there’s even an utterance of a gathering, Rose has already planned the outfit, the afters, and the recovery strategy before anyone else has even bought tickets.

She keeps everything running perfectly, making sure nobody gets left behind and everyone has the best possible time.

Meet Branton — your Ladies Captain for 2026/27 👑

Nickname: Brants
Favourite Drink: Chicken wine
Relationship status: Taken

Ladies High Gun in her fresher year at Poly Ball… and honestly, it’s been downhill for everyone else ever since. No clay is safe when Branton steps onto a stand. A natural born competitor, she doesn’t just hit targets, she deletes them from existence. Airborne or performance based… if it exists, she’s probably already hit it.

Rumour has it her 13 year old sister definitely isn’t better than her (and we will not be taking further questions on that).
Whether it’s leading the ladies teams, turning up the pressure on shoot days, or casually dominating a stand like it’s a warm up, Branton brings serious skill with a certain confidence.
If there’s a target in sight, she’s hitting it. If there’s a team to lead, she’s already ahead of it.

A serious operator 🫳 and an even more serious shot, Kinsey’s the kind of bloke who makes difficult targets look routine. Calm under pressure, clinical on the stand, and always locked in when it matters most.

You won’t catch us using his first name, but you definitely will catch us calling him “Mini Kinsey” after his big brother trademarked just “Kinsey” before he could.

Meet Myles — your Rifle Captain for 2026/27 🎯

Nickname: Mylo
Favourite Drink: Weston’s
Relationship status: Taken

Myles burst onto the committee scene by somehow chopping two pints 🍻 in record time for his committee application video, immediately making everyone realise that challenging him to a chop off would be a catastrophic mistake (he’s open to solid efforts however).

Unfortunately for everyone else, the same energy applies on the range. Myles approaches targets 🎯 with the exact same level of aggression he approaches pints, which makes him an equally terrifying shot.
What we do know is that Myles is unbelievably passionate about the sport, takes shooting seriously when it matters, and is absolutely determined to make rifle a massive success this year ⭐️.

Meet Rosie — your Senior Social Sec for 2026/27 🍻

Nickname: Straker Bomb/ Strakes
Favourite Drink: Jager Bomb
Relationship status: incredibly single

Affectionately known as “Straker Bomb”, Rosie brings cracking social themes, questionable navigation skills, and enough Factor 50 Sun ☀️cream to survive direct contact with the sun itself.

Rosie proudly took home the Wooden Spoon 🥄 at her first year Poly Ball! A truly historic shooting performance. Thankfully, after years of hard work and dedication, she can now probably hit a barn door 🚪 at 100 yards. Practice makes perfect!!

Whether she’s planning socials, finding the most outrageous themes possible, or trying to convince everyone that fancy dress in the middle of winter is a good idea, Rosie brings chaos and commitment in equal measure.

Relationship status: Single and ready to mingle

Self-proclaimed and totally unbiased big time operator. A man of unmatched social energy, questionable decision making, and absolutely zero patience for anything resembling antique kit.

Flat out like a badger on a bypass, yet somehow always has time for the biggest p**s up Cowley has ever seen. It’s genuinely unclear when or where he sleeps… sometimes east ave sometimes Cheney. He always seems to appear exactly where the drinks are 🍻.

Never far from a tinnie or holding court front left of Fish, Ben is the definition of “always on it”. If there’s a social happening, he’s either organised it or escalated it. Be sure to ask him about his absolutely real Rolex ⌚️. (It is very real. Definitely. No further questions.)

Freshers, you are in for a serious ride this year. Get excited
