Last Friday, OXSRAD was one of 10 charities invited to meet with Andrew Bailey, Governor of the Bank of England, during his visit to Oxford.
The event, convened by Oxfordshire Community Foundation (OCF), brought together local organisations to share first-hand insight from the frontline of Oxfordshire’s charitable sector. Discussions focused on the impact of inflation, the ongoing cost-of-living crisis, and the challenges likely to shape the year ahead.
At OXSRAD, we see how these pressures affect the people we support, from rising living costs to increasing demand for our services. Alongside this, charities are facing significant workforce challenges, and the increasing complexity of need, all while operating within constrained resources.
We welcomed the opportunity to ensure these experiences - both from those we support and those delivering services were heard at a national level.
We’re very grateful to OCF for creating space for these important conversations.
