Oxford KDS Karate

Oxford KDS Karate Oxford University Karate-Do Shotokai: Traditional karate as taught by Master Mitsusuke Harada Ian Treherne (3rd dan) is the second club instructor.

Oxford University KDS was founded in 2001 by Senior Instructor Minh Chung (5th dan – highest grade in Karate-Do Shotokai). Members include students, staff and locals. We train year round on Monday and Saturday, and also on Wednesdays during term. We are a friendly club, open to all with plenty of opportunity for individual coaching from the senior grades. We practice karate as a martial art, for personal development and self defence (no competitions).
