🔧A piece of history coming through the workshop! 🔧

This Philips bottom bracket stamped 12-57 (December 1957) visited us earlier this month to be cleaned and regreased is a perfect example that new isn't always better.

In the modern bicycle world, it's so easy to get caught up in the new standards- especially with bottom brackets. However this little piece of history shows us that sometimes, the simpler it is, the better.

Now back in the bike feeling much healthier, we look forward to seeing it in another 70 years!

✨Shiny headset resting on the workbench ✨

This headset is a perfect example of how good engineering and craftsmanship has made Campagnolo legendary for generations to come.

Beautifully made, built to last, and it serves as a gentle reminder that even the smallest parts on a bicycle deserve the most care and appreciation.

A big well done to Tom, Matt and Cat, for completing Bike Oxford on Sunday in aid of Sobell House.

Together, they've raised over £1,500 for Sobell House Hospice, helping to fund the incredible care and support they provide to patients and their loved ones during the most difficult times.

This weekend, some of the Walton Street Cycles team will be taking part in Bike Oxford in support of Sobell House.

We're proud to be supporting Sobell House and the incredible work they do, providing care and support to patients, their friends and families during the most difficult times.

Keep an eye out for the team on the route - you won't miss Matt and Cat, who'll be riding a tandem, and Tom will be easy to spot on his bright pink road bike! 🚲💗

A huge thank you also goes to the rest of the team, who'll be keeping the shop running while the riders are out.

We’re excited to announce that Walton Street Cycles will be supporting Sobell House in Bike Oxford on 21st June.

To help support the amazing work of Sobell House Hospice, we’ll be offering FREE bike and e-bike hire on the day for anyone wanting to take part in the event.

With three different rides available, there’s something for everyone - whether you haven’t ridden in a while, you’re looking for a fun challenge, or you’re an avid rider ready to go the distance.

Plus, there will be refreshments available on every route to keep you fuelled along the way! 🍊🥪🧁
