Lunesdale Divers

We are small, friendly BSAC scuba diving club in the North West of England. We dive regularly in our This is the facebook site of Lunesdale Sub-Aqua Club 138.

We are a branch of the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) based in the Lancaster, Morecambe and Lune Valley area of the North West of England. Lunesdale was founded in 1961 and is one of the oldest diving clubs in the North West. We welcome all people interested in scuba diving. New people wanting to learn and existing divers, for example those looking for a club environment or a buddy, or those who haven't dived in a while. We also welcome members trained by other organisations such as PADI, we can offer a crossover scheme so that you can put your current qualifications towards a BSAC grade should you so wish. Want to learn to scuba dive? If you're thinking about learning to scuba dive but are not sure where to start (or even if it's for you) then you've come to the right place! We offer try dives where you can experience using full scuba kit in a safe pool environment with one of our experienced instructors. What a lovely day for going out to sea to complete some training.
Everyone really enjoyed the day even had lunch on peel island in the sun.
Well done to Graeme Home, Chris Wright and Kathryn Vossen for completing the Chart-work and position fixing course.
Let us hope we have the good weather next Sunday for next three students.

Yesterday, Saturday 15th, was Lunesdale’s annual club BBQ, held at Marie’s lovely new home in Bentham. The weather was perfect for the occasion with a great turnout of members enjoying homemade food and desserts as well as Gregory’s butchers award winning sausages and burgers. It was also the Bentham music festival providing a great atmosphere for the night. Thanks Marie for the hosting also Adrian and Graeme for being chefs 😉.

A couple of lovely club dives at Capernwray today for Anne, Cath, Graeme and Patryk. A friendly sturgeon came to say 'hello' during our safety stop.

A few photos from our club dive today, at a very busy Capernwray. It was good to dive with friends from Furness club also.
Our next club dive will be at Bailiff Wood, Coniston Water on 27th June, with an early start to avoid the crowds!
