We’re excited and oh so proud to hear that Beverley has been awarded the Keith Lound Service to Sport Award at the Goalfix Cup last weekend.

This is what Goalball UK said “Congratulations to Bev Bu-Rashid, winner of the 2025/26 Keith Lound Service to Sport Award.

From volunteering at Wi******er Goalball Club to officiating at national and international competitions, Bev's dedication to the sport has been exceptional. Whether refereeing, mentoring new officials or supporting players, Bev continues to make a huge difference to the goalball community.”

The Goalfix Cup happened this weekend, the team finished 6th at the end of the tournament on goal difference, but the result doesn't show how hard the team worked or the fight and determination. They Showed some amazing teamwork and control over the weekend, we couldn't of asked for more. Roll on Finland and next season.

Today we had our end of season fun session. Lots of quick games to keep everyone on their toes. As well as a moment to recognise all the amazing work the players and volunteers have done. It’s been one of our most successful seasons to date. We couldn’t be prouder!
Goalfix Cup next, the team are looking strong. 💪 🔵❤️

Yesterday was the Goalball UK Regional Shield Tournament. Our team played many very close games against lots of tough competition! But, we made it through to the final, and after a hard fought game against Bradford Giants we came away victorious.
The team played with heart, strength and determination to see them hold the shield high as this years Regional Shield Tournament winners!
And to top it off, our player Edwin won Player of the Tournament!
We’re so proud of how they all played.
Thanks to everyone who took part, facilitated, and made the whole day go so smoothly!

Over the weekend, we took part in the Sports Insure Goalball UK Intermediate Trophy competition. It was an incredible weekend of great Goalball, with lots of highs and lows.
A massive thank you to Goalball UK for putting on the event, and to all the Referees, Activators, and everyone else involved in taking care of all the people attending the event.

This weekend, both our Regional Teams took part in the Goalball UK Regional Tournament 3 in Bristol. Some fantastic team spirit on show, along with some superb Goalball. It was great day with our teams taking Gold and 4th position, with one of our teams ending in 2nd Place for the season. To top it all off, our player Leah was made Player of the Tournament!
We're so proud of team, and seeing how these players go from strength to strength!

Today, Wi******er Rotary UK joined us to present a cheque to our gold medal winning Malmo team. We are extremely grateful for their continued support. We took the opportunity to make Rotarian, David Farthing an Honorary Member of Wi******er Goalball Club for his personal dedication to the Club and goalball over the past 14 years.
