Daisy was the beloved mascot of all the cycling events in Ottery. She was present on every occasion, from the Tour of Britain coming to town to the King & Queen of the Mountain at Chineway Hill. Unfortunately, she has passed away, and she will be dearly missed. This article is dedicated to her memory and to all those who have owned, currently own, and will own a four-legged friend.

We at the OSM King & Queen of the Mountain working group are very aware of the dangers that sometimes cycling brings to those who love the sport, therefore we will share information we think might be of interest to those on their bikes. Ride safely. 🚴‍♀️🚴

Cycling two abreast can deter dangerous overtaking. The new Highway Code includes a reminder that it is often safer to ride side-by-side, particularly when in larger groups or with less experienced riders and children.
