Private Tennis Lessons in Surrey Part of Good Times Tennis, we're LTA accredited coaches in Surrey: Woking & Lightwater.

Hello there, just a little update from us, we wrapped up our tennis offering at the end of last year to concentrate on other challenges. If you're looking for a good local tennis programme and club, we recommend Woking Lawn Tennis Club (I hasten to add we have nothing to do with them!). Enjoy your tennis!

If you're a tennis provider and you think this page could be useful to you because of the highly creative (!) but good name for search engines and searches on Facebook - get in touch!

Hello all! Sorry we've been quiet; we've been sorting out new schedules and have also just started some work at a local school. Jodie is close to fully booked but has some hours on weekday mornings available if you'd like a session in Woking?
A great player herself, and coach for many years, Jodie is good fun and can help if you're a beginner or advanced player!

Morning! If you fancy some local adult matches when we get back to tennis, here is a good site for you to investigate: https://localtennisleagues.com/?gclid=Cj0KCQiAst2BBhDJARIsAGo2ldVMPHqLJ_F_YU5HmKmIIRD3iBmZ3SfkuhBpchSjQRftcN7KWqm9EAAaAtthEALw_wcB
(ignore the uncharacteristically cropped photo! It just came with the link! Ha! Don't worry you won't be playing headless people. I know we're having a weird time of it but there are still limits!)

Friendly competitive tennis on a court near you

23/02/2021

Great news! Outdoor tennis is back from 29th March assuming that the trends in the pandemic continue as they are. I appreciate that for many, you will still be working from home and we're not able to get our hair done until 7 weeks from now (!) but it's going the right way.

Myself and Jodie will be available for private lessons - individuals and groups should you want to set something up.

Here's more information about the rules from the Lawn Tennis Association.

All you need from one convenient location

It's blinking freezing isn't it! It made us think back to a fun session of friendly dubs last Summer. These guys don't play much but we had fun and this was a nice rally! It'll be back soon peeps!

How are you doing? Did you manage to try yoga with Kath? If not, check out my earlier post. All you hear about good mental health these days is about keeping yourself moving and in a routine. I appreciate for those of you with children, it's difficult but hopefully some of the suggestions I'm posting here will appeal and you can fit them into your day for some "you" time.

Today, I wanted to tell you about two ladies, Caroline & Chania, who I used to work with. They run fitness groups in normal times and are online. They've been in the business for ages. Their first class is free and their ongoing prices are very reasonable. Here's their page: https://www.facebook.com/fitnesslive.fit/

If you don't feel great after one of their classes, I'd be very surprised! Let me know how you get on. See you soon, Julia

Fancy a free yoga class? I've been doing yoga for years. Andy Murray does it too - so if it's good enough for him! Yoga helps with flexibility but also muscle imbalances (so injury prevention), increases strength and shoulder mobility. You don't need to be flexible, everyone finds benefit.

I've got a great friend who normally teaches at various London studios but is now doing her classes online. Kath is now offering Good Times Tennis players a free first session: https://kathryan.co.uk/yoga/
There's classes throughout the week. Hope to see you there! Julia x

Bad news but important. See you soon.

Happy Christmas!

Outdoor courts are open for one on one sessions but not groups, for now. The programme was already taking some time off for two weeks and then we'll re-assess.

Till then, Santa and his reindeer pals will hopefully provide some light!
