A nice 10K for June - new route! Who’s coming?

Exciting new road race launched
26 June 2022 - a date for your diary!

We are delighted to announce the launch of a new sister event to the Hendy Eastleigh 10k for 2022 - The Exbury Gardens 10k will be one of the south's most picturesque 10k's on Sunday 26 June 2022.

We are always keen to provide an event with a difference and, as well as the scenic route, we have been given special permission for the start and finish to be in the beautiful Exbury Gardens in one of their most popular months of the year. Your run, on this flat/undulating course, starts in the stunning gardens and takes you through glorious countryside to the scenic Lepe beach with panoramic views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight. You will then continue your journey back to the finish in Exbury Gardens. You can see a runners eye video of the scenic route

All runners will not only receive a lightweight technical t-shirt and medal but we have also agreed with Exbury that all runners get FREE entry (normally £13) into the stunning gardens after their run - so why not plan a summer picnic or coffee and cake to celebrate your achievement and make some unique running memories.

Steve Cook is representing our club at this years Virgin Money London Marathon 2021.

Steve is raising money for some fantastic charities and the club are so proud of him for all the dedication he has put into training and supporting other club members.

Parking at Itchen Valley:

Just a reminder to all those of you who may be visiting us for the first time, or who may not already be aware, the fabulous people at Itchen Valley Country Park and Eastleigh Borough Council have a special arrangement in place for parkrunners on a Saturday morning.

Simply place a spare parkrun barcode on your dashboard next to your pay & display ticket, and you’ll get 2 hours for the price of 1. So you can stay for that post-run coffee and treat in the Woodland Cafe after you’ve finished running or volunteering.

The park is also on the RingGo app, so you can use the cashless system too if you don’t want to carry card or cash with you to parkrun.
