Congratulations go to Otley Cricket Club for winning the 3rd XI Division 1 title.

A total of 9 wins from 11 matches played and a total of 185 points saw the young Cross Green side secure first place by just 2 points, with Guiseley Cricket Club close behind in the Runners-Up spot.

We caught up with 3rd team skipper Adam Hughes and Isaac Bell to get their immediate reaction to yesterday’s title-winning match and look back on a massive summer for the side.

From clutch individual innings to match-winning spells with the ball, there have been some incredible standout performances across the season from this young squad.

Hear from the lads on what made the difference this year, the fight across all 11 matches, and what it means to bring the league trophy back to Cross Green.

CHAMPIONS! 🏆

Huge congratulations to Otley 3rds on wrapping up the league title today, finishing top with 9 wins from 11!

What an achievement for such a young side. With players aged just 13 to 18, watching them hold their own in senior cricket and play to such a high standard all summer has been fantastic.

Even more impressive is the commitment from so many of these lads who turn out for the 1sts and 2nds on a Saturday, only to back it up again on Sunday for the 3rds. That dedication to the club is absolute class.

A massive thank you to all the coaches, scorers, tea-makers, and parents for the endless lifts and boundary-side support every weekend.

The future of Otley CC is looking very bright indeed.

​A massive weekend ahead across the club to close out the campaign, with silverware already in the bag, an absolute thriller of a title race going down to the wire, and the end of an era for our first XI skipper.

📍 Away vs Burley in Wharfedale CC

🗓 Saturday 12th September | 12:00 PM

With the league title already wrapped up, the Firsts head to Burley for their final outing of a superb campaign. It marks a special milestone as skipper Josh Atkinson takes the field for his final match as captain after 4 remarkable years at the helm. Let's send him off with a win!

The Seconds wrap up their season at Cross Green against Burley. Head down, grab a drink from the clubhouse bar, and get behind the lads in their final fixture!

📍 Away vs Menston CC

🗓 Sunday 13th September | 1:00 PM

A proper title decider on Sunday. Holding a razor-thin 2-point lead at the summit over Guiseley, everything is on the line at Menston. The lads need every bit of noise from the boundary to bring the trophy home, so get across to Menston and back the team!
