After more than a decade of teaching, I've come to believe that what makes a great yoga teacher has very little to do with how advanced their practice looks.

Of course, knowledge and experience matter. But some of the most impactful teachers I've encountered have shared qualities that go far beyond physical ability: presence, compassion, curiosity, humility, clear communication and a genuine desire to support others.

I've been reflecting a lot recently on the qualities that really matter when guiding others. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Feeling the joy of playing in the sunshine atm! ☀️💛... but also need to remind you that the next block of yoga classes starts next week (Monday 1st June), and I have ONE space available in each of the following morning classes (all the others are fully booked, sorry x):

🧘‍♀️ Mondays 10-11am Morning Flow Vinyasa

🧘‍♀️ Fridays 10-11am Gentle Hatha & Meditation

Both classes are at the studio at Treflach Farm (SY10 9HX) and it's £40 for the 6 week block. Message me to book your place 🙏

There was a moment recently when I realised I’ve now been teaching yoga longer than I spent in any of my previous careers!

And honestly… what a privilege and a joy it is 🥰.

Over the years there have been village halls and packed studios, retreats in beautiful places, festival fields, online classes during lockdowns, nervous beginners, tired parents, grieving people, joyful people, people coming back to themselves again.

It’s never just been about poses for me. It’s been about connection, steadiness, humour, humanity, and creating spaces where people can breathe a little more easily.

This work fills my heart and soul in ways I couldn’t have imagined when I first trained. Challenging sometimes, yes — but deeply meaningful and endlessly rewarding too.

Feeling very grateful for all the people who’ve trusted me to share even a small part of their journey over the years 🙏🏻

And quietly excited for some next chapters beginning to unfold… 🤍
