A look back at a fascinating newspaper story from the archives, when The New Saints were linked with a sensational move for former England midfielder Paul Gascoigne. 📰⚽

TNS were reported to be strong contenders for Gazza’s signature following his departure from Burnley Football Club, with manager Ken McKenna refusing to give up hope of bringing the former Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, S.S. Lazio and Everton Football Club star to the club.

Despite Gascoigne heading to China for trials, TNS remained hopeful of a dramatic U-turn and believed his arrival could have provided a huge boost to both the club and the Welsh Premier League.
