First blood goes to the Oswestry mixed thirds beating Oswestry seconds 3 1 last night . Two championship tie breaks were involved so it could have been a different story but they held their nerve and consistency throughout . Good start to the season

A hundred years celebration at Oswestry Tennis Club !. We are a friendly club with both social and league tennis available . This year we have had at least three teams promoted in their given divisions which is a great way to celebrate the clubs centenary. The Wimbledon visit yesterday started with some group picture outside the main entrance 😊

Yesterday Oswestry Tennis Club had the privilege to be invited to a VIP club tour to Wimbledon as a celebration of our century year. The Wimbledon precision was all on show and their hospitality was amazing, all aimed at encouraging tennis clubs to keep up the good work for another century at least ! Thank you Wimbledon !

The August Oswestry Tennis Club Social tournament was competed between 22 members and guests.
Ellie Cumpston organised the event keeping play flowing brilliantly, enabling 4 mini matches to be played by each player.

The clear winner of the Women's section was Jeanne Craggs whilst the men's section was far closer with Chris Smith snatching it at the death by finishing with two perfect 4 point matches.

A great morning of tennis, well done all.
