🏏 SUPER SUNDAY!🏏

✅ 3s continued their promotion challenge with a convincing win at Madeley cricket club.
They posted a formidable 230/6 with the highlights being Ed Martins’s 54, Luke Jones’ 56 and Captain Mike O’Reilly’s 67*.
Madeley were bowled out for 106 with the wickets shared across Gabe Hanratty 2/2, Luke Jones 2/44, Hidi Haroonkhail 2/22 and Kaycee Herbert 3/44 for another excellent win.

✅ The 4s completed the double against Madeley with a win at home based around an excellent bowling performance by their young bowling attack.
Batting first on a day for the bowlers OCC posted 146/9 with contributions from Bobby Hall 26 and Rohit Muddaraboina 39.
Madeley were then bowled out for 80 with Toby Bowen leading the charge with 3/7 and captain Andy Hall mopping up the tail with 4/17 at the end to complete a Super Sunday for OCC.

✅ The Oswestry Women & Girls Cricket Club had started the day well for OCC with a win away at Shrewsbury CC. Oswestry posted 105/4 with Lisa Bladen 21 and Charlotte Arran 19 helping them to a competitive total.
Shrewsbury were then restricted to 89/6 with star ⭐ of the show being 12 year old Sophia Davies who took 4/21.

📣 RESULTS ROUND UP 📣

✅ 1s completed a comprehensive victory over Shifnal with the stand out performers being JP Erasmus’ 87 and Brandon Diplock’s 6/19 including a hat 🎩 trick!

✅ 2s won easily posting 200/3 off their 30 overs against Welshpool 2s. Steve Humphries kept up his early season form with 72* and good support from James Bradbury with 52. Welshpool were restricted to 117/8 with the pick of the bowlers being Matty Davies.

✅ 3s swept aside Bomere Heath posting a formidable 276/4 with the highlights being teenager Ed Martins 98 and Mike O’Reilly’s 78*.
Bomere struggled to 126 all out with excellent bowling from Gabe Hanratty 2/6, Dev Surmay 2/9 and Luke Jones 3/13.

❎ The 4s almost competed a clean sweep but lost a tight game in the drizzle v local rivals Knockin. They restricted Knockin to 145 with contributions across the young bowling attack but faltered in the chase finishing on 125 with useful knocks from Adam Humphreys 20 and James Butterton-Davies 25.
