Originally established in 1992, Mile End Golf Club has grown from its early beginnings into what it is today. For more than three decades we have built a strong reputation for being a welcoming golf facility with my late Father Peter Thompson having fulfilled his desire to provide a place that local people could enjoy themselves.
A few days ago, we announced a change of ownership would be happening on 2nd February 2026, marking an important new chapter in the history of the facility and at the same time ensuring it continues to be a venue that everyone in the local community can enjoy.
Whilst ownership has changed I am confident that Smash Golf Ltd will bring the required investment to improve the facilities and are committed to providing a modern venue for golfers of all ages & abilities.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our loyal Customers, Members & Staff who have all contributed to the life of Mile End over the years. There have been many friendships made and to see the enjoyment that the game of golf brings has given us much satisfaction.
However, time has moved on and although it has been a difficult decision I would like to wish Craig & Andy the very best of luck in taking over the reins of Mile End.
During this transition our facilities will be closed until further notice. Another update from the new owners will be shared on 2nd February.
