Not a classic, but job done for our u13 Reds.

A tough battle from start to finish against a good Feniscowles team. True grit and togetherness got the boys a deserved victory.

⚽️ Padiham 5 – 4 Ossy Juniors Lionesses ⚽️

WHAT A GAME!! 🦁💙

So impressed with the girls today and the way they battled right until the very end.

We started the first half a little sluggishly and allowed Padiham to get ahead, but it didn’t take us long to respond, with Mimi grabbing the equaliser and her first goal of the game! ⚽️

Padiham pulled ahead again, but then Mischa whipped in an absolutely wicked corner that went straight in to make it 2–2! 🔥

There were periods today where we played some of the best football I’ve seen from these girls. Some brilliant passing sequences, confident positive play and, most importantly, everyone working for each other.

Darcie was outstanding in goal again and pulled off some bloody brilliant saves! 🧤👏

Our defence looked really solid and the communication between them was fantastic. The midfield produced some lovely link up play to move the ball forward, while also working incredibly hard to get back and help defensively.

We found ourselves behind again, but these girls never gave up 💙

They proved that in the second half with an amazing display, fighting all the way back to 5–4. We pushed and pushed for that equaliser and just couldn’t quite find it before the final whistle.

But today really wasn’t about the final score.

It was about seeing the football these girls are capable of playing, their determination when things aren’t going their way and the way they’re starting to work together as a team.

©️ Captain today was Zac. Full match in the middle of the pitch and he was everywhere. I think he blocked the ball with every part of his body today! Got a couple of shots off and even loves to slide tackle the ball when he shoots! Great energy from the skipper, well done Zac 👏

🥇 Supporters POTM was Mason. We know he likes to dribble with his magic feet, but today I thought he made the right decisions on the whole for when to pass and when to dribble. Some excellent switches of play and good link up with Myson and centre mids. Unlucky not to score in the first half but got his well deserved goal to seal the game. Well done Mason 👏

🏆 Coaches POTM was Joseph. They showed a bit of early threat but Joseph was there to keep it tight for us and allow us to grow into the game. Blocks, tackles, clearances, he did it all. On top of that some good forward passing into midfield, but also understood when a clearance was needed. Well done Joseph 👏

A proper team effort 💪 and that’s what this team is built on.

A very warm welcome back to all our players, parents, coaches and volunteers as we kicked off this weekend to another exciting season!

We hope you’ve all had a fantastic break and are glad to being back on the pitch. A huge thank you to all our parents for your continued support — it really makes a difference to the club and, most importantly, to the children.

Oswaldtwistle Juniors U8's

Oswaldtwistle Juniors U8's Blues played their first league game of the season against Soccer HQ Blacks yesterday at Accrington Academy.

It felt great to start to the season with a win and a strong performance. All credit goes to the lads who have worked hard to develop their skills over summer.

Particularly in the first half they executed the game plan perfectly and showed what they've been working on in training. The second half was a more even contest against 6 players but Ossy were able to secure a win at the final whistle.

It was an opportunity to experiment with players in different positions and the lads coped well with that. We were also treated to some excellent finishing with some absolute beauties from distance 😍.

POTM could have been any one of the lads but the coaches gave it to Rory because we were impressed with him getting forward and back but also his improvements in positioning and marking. James was awarded the opposition POTM for his thunder rocket of a freekick that two goalkeepers wouldn't have saved! 🚀

Not the result we wanted for our first league game of the season for Ossy juniors U13s blacks🖤first half was a frustrating game with us not making the most of our chances and our opponents taking advantage of there’s.Second half was much better we started on the front foot playing our football our intensity went up and should of got more than a goal for our chances created .
Congratulations to Eliyas on M.O.T.M showed great desire to win the ball in his defensively roll and wanted to get forward on every opportunity to help his teammates.well played Eliyas 🏆👏

A superb start from the boys with Rocco playing through the lines to create chances throughout. Jimmy opened the scoring after a great run and assist by Henry to put it on a plate. Lincoln and Alfred were solid in defence sweeping up and playing forward. Oscar and Hendrix added width creating chances and were unlucky not to score. Henry started the season with a goal slotting into the corner expertly. Jimmy and Henry both hit the woodwork with powerful strikes, causing a threat throughout. Potm went to Teddy who has adapted into his sweeper keeper role perfectly, showing his confidence on the ball alongside some fine saves. What a keeper 👏

Really proud of our u12 Tigers for their determination and attitude on their opening game of the ADJFL season, against a really well disciplined Pendle Forest side.

We played a really strong first half and were dominant for a lot of it, but struggled to keep the momentum flowing in the second, and lost our shape and discipline, leading to a defeat, and a scoreline that didn’t reflect how well we played over the 60 minutes.

We took the lead early through a really well worked cross into the box by James and a finish, on his debut, by Oscar S.

We had a set piece goal from a free kick in the second half, taken by Oscar S and scored by Oscar M.

Player of the match went to James, for his assist and his ease at moving into a more defensive wing back position. Fantastic attitude all game.

Well done boys, keep up the hard work and the results will come our way.
