🏉 A PROUD DAY FOR OSSETT RUFC 🔴⚫️⚪️

Yesterday was a special milestone for our club as our Colts pulled on the Ossett shirt and represented us away at Roundhegians.

We couldn’t be prouder of how far these lads have come, and we can’t wait to watch them continue to develop, both on and off the pitch.

But the best thing? They’re a fantastic group of young gentlemen who are a credit to themselves, their families and our club.

The future is bright at Ossett. ⚫️🔴⚪️

Here are your 1st team man of the matches for yesterday’s home win against Pontefract 2s.

Jacob George secured the coveted Spurr’s butchers voucher with a powerful display, he was a real handful with ball in hand and dominant at the scrum.

The opposition chose Jack Cawood as their man of the match, Jack was lethal around the ruck breaking the line numerous times with his quick feet.

Well done boys a great all round performance and a few other lads were unlucky to miss out. On to next week!

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ GOOD LUCK AT THE YORK MARATHON! ❤️🖤🤍

Everyone at Ossett RUFC would like to wish Vikky Drury, Jimmy Shaw and his cousins the very best of luck as they take on this morning’s York Marathon! 💪

Both runs carry a very special and emotional meaning.

❤️ Vikky Drury is running in memory of her sister-in-law Jennifer who sadly passed away recently. Our thoughts are with Vikky and her family as she takes on this incredible challenge in her memory.

❤️ Jimmy Shaw and his cousins are running in memory of his dad, Pip, who sadly passed away earlier this year. A wonderful way to honour Pip’s memory and celebrate his life.

Running a marathon is an amazing achievement in itself, but running in memory of loved ones makes it even more special. Today, every mile will carry a little extra meaning. ❤️

From everyone at Ossett RUFC, we’re incredibly proud of you all. Run strong, support each other and know that we’re cheering you on every step of the way!

Good luck, Vikky Jimmy and family — you’ve got this! 👏🏅

🏉 A BIG WEEKEND FOR OUR COLTS! 🔴⚫️⚪️

This Sunday, our Colts play their first-ever game of the season away at Roundhegians, with 13 lads making the trip alongside Gareth, Max and Will.

They’ve come a long way, and so has the club. A huge thank you to the coaches who have put so much time, effort and belief into these lads since August. It’s brilliant to see that hard work paying off.

If you can get there on Sunday, please do. Let’s get behind them, show them what Ossett is all about and make a big deal of this milestone.

We’re growing, we’re building something special, and we’re on the brink of getting an U14s team up and running too!

Every player, every coach, every volunteer and every bit of support matters.

One Club. One Pack. All Welcome. ⚫️🔴⚪️
