📢New Signing📢
Orrell Red Triangle is delighted to announce the signing of Akash Vasisht as club professional for the 2027 season. 🤝
The Indian all rounder boasts a fantastic First Class record and previously spent the 2022 season at Lytham where he scored 863 runs @ 126.14 and took 46 wickets @ 12.20. 👏
Here’s a warm welcome to the club from club chairman, Spencer Anglesea:
“We are all excited and looking forward to welcoming Akash and his family for the 2027 season.
We know he’s previously enjoyed his cricket in the Liverpool comp and it’s fantastic that he has chosen to play at Orrell for his return. His stats when he last played over here were very impressive and he’ll bring with him a wealth of knowledge and experience as you’d expect from someone playing first class cricket in India.
Welcome aboard Akash!“
Director of Cricket, Chris Riley, was also thrilled about the new signing. Here’s what he had to say:
‘’We are delighted to welcome a player of Akash’s calibre and experience to the club.
Akash will be a tremendous asset to our First Team, both through his performances on the field and the experience, knowledge and professionalism he will bring to the wider playing group. His presence will also be invaluable to our younger players, who will have a fantastic opportunity to learn and develop from working alongside him.
On behalf of the club, I would like to extend a very warm welcome to Akash and his family. We look forward to having you all as part of the club and wish you every success in the season ahead.’’
We can’t wait to welcome Akash and his family to Orrell in 2027! ❤️
Welcome Akash🔻
